”A very nice hotel right by the river and very close to Gion and Nishiki market. Rooms are big with really nice river view. excellent bathroom and separate toilet. no restaurant but the hotel owner provides ready made western or japanese breakfast either in the room or downstairs separate eating area. Very attentive and friendly staff. Having travelled around the world and having top tiers in many hotel reservation frequent traveller programs i can say that this hotel is among the top. In the...
”All was great. Clean, well-maintained, and easy to access. Great location, with Nishiki Market, countless restaurants, and grocery nearby. The only minor complaint I have is the slowness of filling the hot tub on the first day. On subsequent days it got better, however. The staff was very responsive through email.

Upon arrival we were greeted with extremely friendly staff that went all the way to make sure we felt welcomed. From the registration onwards the entire stay was made as easy as possible. While the staff may not be fluent in English, their hospitality and effort makes up for the potential lack in vocabulary....

”Our stay in Kyoto at the Resi Stay was wonderful. We were able to send some of our luggage ahead, and it was waiting for us at the check-in counter across the street from the train station, which is where you check in. We stayed in 1F and it was huge and very quiet, and it had laundry. We loved exploring Kyoto from this location, as it's so close to a very cute part. We only wish we made a better plan for seeing the rest of Kyoto. It's big and spread out. ”

”This was a charming little place very close to the river, restaurants and shopping and just a short walk to the subway. Check-in was easy, staff was nice and the rooms were well-designed, cozy and clean. The price was very reasonable and we would definitely return. ”

"The hotel is located nicely in the middle of a shopping area and not too far from 2 different subway lines. Only downside with the location is that a taxi cant really get right infront of the hotel but it's not a long walk (3 minutes) from the closest drop off location.
Checking in and out is easy and quick with the self service desks and there is staff to help if you require assistance.
Didnt have much interraction with the staff except for one at reception and the cleaning staff of the floor and all were very friendly.
Only downside (for me) was how hard the bed was but that's a preference thing.
With all that said unless the hotel prices itself out it will stay on my radar for when I come to Kyoto again (6 days is not enough!)."
"Great experience! The room was good sized and I loved the separate space in the entrance. Room was clean and had everything you need including charges and little macha set. Breakfast was really good and had a lot options and the public bath was nice. Hotel is not beside any big roads and not in the middle of everything so the area is quiet but still close to subway and bus lines. "
"Parasta hotellissa oli sen "kylpyläosasto" eli Onsen.
Onsen oli monipuolisin ja laadukkain koko matkallamme ja selittää varmasti sen miksi hotellilla on huippu arvostelut.
Hotellin siivoustaso jättää hieman toivomisen varaa, mutta yleisesti ottaen paikka on riittävän siisti. Lisäksi sängyt olivat omaan makuuni epämukavia ja tyyny lähes hyödytön. Joten aivan 10/10 kokemusta paikka ei tarjonnut.
Paikka tarjoaa ehkä vähän koomisen paljon kaikkea pientä kivaa asiakkailleen. Löytyy ilmaista jäätelöä, teetä ja kahvia sekä iltapalaksi ilmainen ramen. Hieman erikoinen toimintamalli, mutta piristi matkaa."
