”Simplemente genial.

”Wonderful experience.”

”Clean rooms and friendly staff”

”Staff was so helpful! Location was perfect!”

”I didn't expect that it would be a whole house just for myself! The service was splendid, very polite and helpful. The house has everything you need, i.e. all the dishes. The interior is traditional and, very comfortable and nice.”

”The Aoi Hotel is located centrally to great restaurants, shopping, local attractions, and beautiful views. I was pleasantly surprised to be far enough from the main hustle and bustle to have peace and quiet, but close enough to walk to enjoy Kyoto. The staff is helpful and friendly, just a chat away using their cool interactive pad accessible in the room. Our room had a washer/dryer and they provided detergent, which helped us get reset for our time in Kyoto. Did I mention it’s spacious! We had...

Rooms are big with really nice river view. excellent bathroom and separate toilet. no restaurant but the hotel owner provides ready made western or japanese breakfast either in the room or downstairs separate eating area. Very attentive and friendly staff. Having travelled around the world and having top tiers in many hotel reservation frequent traveller programs i can say that this hotel is among the top. In the...

”Amazing, highly reccommended!”

”We loved staying here and would definitely stay again if we visited Kyoto. Very friendly and helpful staff, amenities available to us were really useful and our room was perfect for what we needed. We also loved the convenient location to local temples, shopping, restaurants and multiple local train stations which made getting around very easy even with our baby. Very glad we chose to stay at this hotel and would recommend to anyone.”

”A wonderful and truly authentic place that allows you to fully immerse yourself in Japanese culture and tradition. The real highlight, though, was the food. I came in with no expectations and was completely blown away by both dinner and breakfast. Dinner could easily pass for a Michelin-starred dining experience, and the yuzu porridge served at breakfast was so memorable that I’ll definitely try to recreate it at home. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience!”

”Location!”

”Beautiful, clean, and spacious property with many traditional features and nice architectural details, close to bus stops and the underground; plus shops, cafes, and food available nearby. Host is very helpful and gave a clear explanation of how things worked, what services were available, and how to get in touch. Sake bath on offer is well worth a good soak after a long couple days on your feet exploring the area. Tatami-style mats and futons for the sleeping arrangements may sound a little...

”The staff were amazing here! All the employees were so kind and made this an amazing stay. The location was excellent with markets nearby but still quiet at night.”

”This quaint hotel was clean, staff was friendly, and rooms were a good size. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay in Kyoto. It was a short walk to Nishiki market and had tons of local restaurants near it too.”
