”Mantra Portsea is nicely decorated apartment hotel within walking distance from the center. The service level is good otherwise, but the rooms are only cleaned once a week. We stayed for 4 days so this was sufficient. You can get clean towels if you like. The breakfast was good. However during my stay I washed some clothes and they were damaged because the clotheshorse in the balcony was rusted. The hotel agreed to compensate the clothes after the housekeeping was unable to remove the stains....

”Our spa room on the second floor overlooked one of the four swimming pools. Although the room itself was compact with little space for luggage, the large balcony with outdoor spa, table and chairs provided a sense of space. The large bathroom provided a walk-in shower, toilet and wide wash basin and cabinet. The kitchenette was equipped with a microwave, expresso machine, toaster and kettle plus glassware, china and cutlery for 2 people. The room was easily accessible by lift from the basement...

”・Tea stains on the dishes were noticeable. It would be best to bleach them. ・After dinner, when I went to bed, it was a little chilly so I asked for a blanket, but I was told that the service had ended and they couldn't give one to us. ・The room smelled moldy ・There were food crumbs on the dining chairs that looked like they had been there for a while.”

”Had to change rooms after 2 days, as the room directly below us was being renovated & the kack-hammers were unbearable. Then on the second last day we had no hot water, fortunately it was in a heat wave, so a cold shower was actually welcome”

”A nice clean room with a comfortable bed. The tub was heaveanly after a long day of trekking around daintree and cape tribulation. Tv had a great selection of channels. Plus for having a toaster in the room in addition to the fridge and water heater. After hours service was fast and helpful, both check-in and check-out were a breeze. The only downside would be that there's no free wifi.”
