DETAILS: Every day is a beach day at Ohana Makai! Tucked along the shore, this Gulf-front Indian Pass home sleeps 12 guests and boasts 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, dedicated beach access, and multiple outdoor spaces. This section of the Forgotten Coast is a haven for leisure and sun-fueled activities, including paddleboarding, fishing, and wildlife viewing. Imagine carefree days watching the Gulf’s sparkling waves from the balcony and relaxing on the beach—steps off the back of the property!

The ground floor of this 3-story home makes the most of the beautiful Florida weather and Gulf-front location. Fire up the grill for a barbecue lunch at the picnic table or traipse down the boardwalk for a day of fun at the beach—the outdoor shower easily rinses off sand and salt afterward.

Hop in the elevator or take the stairs to the first level, where a peaceful guest bedroom with 1 king bed and a family-friendly bunk room with 2 twin-over-full beds await.

On the second floor, windows fill the great room with natural light and offer a picturesque view of the Gulf and horizon. The kitchen has everything guests need to enjoy home-cooked meals, including a 6-burner Café stove. Gather for fresh scallops and oysters around the dining table—there’s plenty of seating with 2 long benches and 2 chairs, plus a 4-stool breakfast bar in the kitchen. When it’s time to unwind, the living area’s sectional couch and 2 armchairs invite guests to gather. Or, slip out to the balcony where 2 rocking chairs and a 4-person table enjoy uninterrupted Gulf views. Past the kitchen is a den with a TV and a queen-sized sectional sofa—perfect for a kid’s playroom or additional sleeping accommodations.

The primary bedroom on the top floor offers peace and privacy. It features a king bed, private bathroom, office space, and a furnished Gulf-facing balcony.

Wonderful place! The house and beach area looks exactly like the pictures which we were really pleased with. We spent a good amount of time sitting out on the balconies enjoying the beautiful, peaceful scenery watching the pelicans dive in the water and keeping an eye out for dolphins! Everyone felt their beds were comfortable and the showers had good water pressure. The bathrooms and kitchen were well stocked with the kitchen having just about every utensil you could need. The elevator was super helpful for carrying luggage and groceries in, as well as assisting to take our older dog with mobility issues out to use the restroom. We typically travel with our own assortment of games, but definitely checked out and utilized the variety of ones that were provided as well! The outdoor shower area was much appreciated for rinsing the sand off and we were really glad to find out there were hardly any of those pesky sandburs to step on! As previously mentioned in another review, the bedroom on the 3rd floor can get warm during the hottest parts of the day. We kept the blinds/curtains closed during those times and the ceiling fan on to help offset that and didn’t have any major issues with it. There were also additional floor fans in one of the other bedroom closets if needed. The communication for check-in was really smooth and efficient as well. Overall, we had a great time staying here and would definitely book again!

Very disappointed. The house is beautiful and great location. Unfortunately. the house was not built to handle the Florida heat. The top floor bedroom (nicest one in the house) could not be used because it remained over 80 degrees. The ac could not cool the bedroom/bathroom. The 3rd floor was extremely warm as well. Maintenance staff installed 2 window units on 3rd floor but could not install on 4th floor - no windows. We spent a lot of money but did not get what we paid for.
