”The cabin is clean with all the amenities you could ever want! A short walk to the heated shower house cometw with flush toilets and laundry. Quiet, sky full of stars, close to food and plenty of places.to walk. Its our 3rd stay here and we hope to come again!”

”It was -12 on Portage Lake and we cranked the heat pump up to 75. The Birds Nest cabin needs another heat source. Upstairs was cold when we got back at 10:30 pm after leaving the heat on all day in the cabin.The two full size beds that are pictured is one that’s on the bottom of a metal bunk bed frame and the other is upstairs where the roof is pitched so one side has no head room to accommodate two grown adults.New owners shut the water off for the winter. Didn’t know that until the day we left...

”Our group came to Portage to snowmobile and explore the trail system in this area. I chose the Lakehouse cause the pictures were sunny, warm and welcoming. The cabin was well stocked, clean, and comfortable...hot shower were a plus. We enjoyed our stay and would come back. Mary the host was very helpful.”

”A beautiful cottage set in a wooded camp on Portage Lake. We kayaked and canoed. Very rustic, but super comfortable. Washer/dryer was a bonus! Hiked up Hedgehog Mountain, drove on to Fort Kent. Grilled some fish and relaxed on the wonderful covered patio. ”
