”Un endroit exceptionnel ! J'ai adoré mon séjour et je réserverai de nouveau. C'est l'emplacement idéal : tout près de l'océan et à distance raisonnable du centre historique de Porto. C'est même agréable d'y aller à pied si vous aimez les longues promenades au bord du Douro pour croiser les Portuans qui vivent et profitent de leur ville (et pas seulement des touristes !). Le matin sous la brume, le spectacle est tout simplement magnifique.”

”Clean, comfortable, spacious and well maintained room. Staff were helpful and friendly. Good location. Close to shops , restaurants and bars. Train and bus was also easily accessible. The only issues was that it can get noisy at night, if you are a light sleeper, bring some earplugs and you’ll be fine.”

”Voimme vilpittömästi suositella 1872 River Housea. Hotelli on todella pieni, siellä on vain 8 huonetta, mikä tekee siitä kodinomaisen. Koko talo on restauroitu viimeisen päälle hyvällä maulla. Henkilökunta on todella ystävällistä, auttavaista ja huolehtivaa. Niin huone kuin yleiset tilat olivat erittäin siistit. Kannattaa maksaa lisämaksu joen puoleisesta huoneesta, jolloin näköala on upea. Vaihtoehto on näkymä hyvin kapean kujan vastapäisen talon seinään.”

”We arrived at the property and noted to be warm and somewhat humid inside the unit. We noticed that the unit is not blowing cold air. The fan was working well though. We contacted the responsible party. He guided me to some setting changes but, it didn't change anything. The outside street air was much cooler than inside. We left the windows open. But the street traffic noise was too loud and flies and bugs kept flying inside. We could not sleep much. They should not rent the unit if this...

”Forget to send a review! This is the one of the best hotels I have been! Staff is super friendly and the hotel is beautiful, the rooms are super nice. Me and my girlfriend went there for her birthday and they made it perfect. I asked cava bottle to room and it was there and also they hotel staff did but a cake there. So I have to say thank you guys your are the best! I will recommend this hotel to every one! Location is good and Porto is lovely! Thank you !”

Our garden view room was lovely, including a private sunny balcony to sit on. Bedroom was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. ”A lovely retreat overlooking the Douro, only 11 bedrooms so it’s very quiet and relaxing. Everything about the property is perfect, clean, fabulous staff and a wonderful breakfast with loads of choices. Tucked away but a short and cheap Uber or Bolt ride into the city centre or to the beaches.”
