Best house at Duchess Creek

Overall it has everything to make our family vacation the Best!!! The boat dock, ice machine, location, everyone has a bed, number of showers and bathrooms, patio, big table to seat everyone to eat together, absolutely perfect for large group.

It was a great location right on the water with a dock. It has a lot of room. Came with a youth group and had a ton of fun. Would love to come again!

family weekend

This house accomodated our group of 15 perfectly, hopefully when the littles are bigger we can come back and they'll really enjoy the bunk room/play room. Wonderful dock and lake access, plenty of space for us all to be together in the living space and the patio, all the cooking/kitchen supplies you could possibly need. A high chair on hand would have been perfect but otherwise we absolutely loved it and easy proximity to evergreen marina for a boat rental!

Best Vacation Ever

We had 17 people and everyone had a bed! It was clean, well stocked, beautiful house and the boat dock was a huge plus. Our kids played in the back yard and the ice machine was awesome! We will definitely make this a yearly get together. Our kids and grandkids loved it.

Perfect for our family!

This was our second stay at this property. It is perfect for our family, our ages range from 2 years to 72 years. The house met all our needs and we would definitely stay here again. We love the fact it has it's own boat dock. I really like the set up of the master bedroom. There is a little kitchen area with coffee maker, microwave, mini refrigerator and sink. Perfect for coffee in the morning on the deck right outside your bedroom. We are early risers and don't have to disturb anyone when we get up.

Second Time to Sandcastle!

Love this place! We’ve been doing summer boat vacations for 18 years now, and this house is AWESOME. Big house, lots of bedrooms for adults, huge bunk room for kids, boat dock & great views of Bixby Cove. Great for boats - the dock is in good shape, covered, and a short walk from the house. The ice machine in the garage is priceless. We filled up multiple large coolers everyday & never got close to running out. Huge dining table with benches, large back deck, and big Master Bedroom has its own deck as well for your morning coffee looking over the lake. Kitchen has everything you need. AC works great both upstairs & downstairs. Can fit two cars in the garage & at least three more in front of it. Dollar General has most things you might need about 5 minutes away. Emi is easy to contact & does a great job keeping this place clean & operational! This was our second visit…and we’ll be back again!

Bachelorette Weekend

We had a great time with friends celebrating at the house. Having dock access made it great to get to the water. The outdoor deck has a nice view of the water and we really enjoyed the patio and grill. A bit of a drive from the town of Eufala, but all in all a great stay.

Great lake house for big group

We had a family vacation here and had a great time. Seven adults, six teens, and one infant stayed for three days. The place is large—plenty of room for everyone to gather to watch a movie, or for everyone to spread out and do their own thing. Nice back porch and swimming dock at the lake. We rented a boat and had a great time. It is tucked back into a neighborhood that was hard for a couple of our guests to find. Overall, would highly recommend .

We love this place

This is the second time we have rented this house and the third time we have rented with these owners. The house is perfect and can accommodate a large family. The ice machine is a godsend. We will be booking again ! They are super responsive and helped with every little question this type A host had ! Love these folks and this property!

Amazing spot to relax

This property is an amazing house! We took our large family there to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday. With nine kids it’s not easy to find a comfortable place that holds all of us. We had plenty of room it holds 14 big size people(my sons are all over size feet tall, and my daughters are nearly there) these are nice sized, comfortable beds. The showers never ran out of hot water, which amazed me! The proximity to the lake was great we were able to launch our kayaks. My sons favorite part of our stay was fishing off of the boat slip in the morning. After staying all day in the sun, we were able to cook homemade meals in a well-stocked kitchen and watch a family movie. There were several televisions so after watching a movie we split up for bed and relaxed with our personal favorites. There is a supply of books and I got sucked into one. Best vacay evah! My greatest thanks to Emi for allowing us to host my husbands siblings for the day. He was so surprised when they showed up to grill with us we even baked cupcakes! Everyone wants to go back.

My family was very pleased with our stay!

The house is exactly like it is pictured and the property allowed space for us to enjoy the outdoors both on the deck, large yard & water. We had been planning this stay for over a year and had to reschedule last year due to a medical issue, Emi was great in working with our family to do this. She was also always responsive to any questions. Because we had been looking forward to this for so long, we all read the reviews and knew what to expect. We stayed for my parents anniversary, 16 people ranging in ages from 18 months to 67. Outside: Dock was a great feature - we brought our boat and kayaks too. While they did take the boat out fishing, it was mainly used for tubing and trips to the cliff. The most successful fishing the boys had was from the dock. We spent a lot of time in the water, there was a long length of shallow water that the 3 & 6 year old could touch. The beach wasn't great - there are a lot of roots, but we enjoyed the fact that it was shaded. We brought bag chairs with us and set those up in the shade so we could take shade breaks when not in the water. The yard was huge and it is a decent walk to the beach, but we expected this and brought side by sides to help haul stuff down to the beach. The side by sides/rangers were really useful in making quick trips to town and just cruising around the lake, there were even trails you could ride - beware some are private trails :) They had a volleyball net up and we brought corn hole and other yard games. The deck was awesome with lots of seating and most of the day there was significant shade. We grilled a couple nights and enjoyed lots of evenings there. (There were some reviews that mentioned the neighbors as the houses are fairly close, but we had no issues) Inside: The house is beautiful. The kitchen had more than we expected - crockpots, griddles, pots/pans, etc. We didn't use most of it but we were pleasantly surprised. There is a full and a half bath downstairs and then a 2nd half bath in the garage. Upstairs the master room is the access to the upper deck and the other side of the hall has the jack & jill bedrooms which is the access to the game/bunk room. The bunk room also had access from the garage, but since all of the kids slept in here they accessed the room through the one bedroom. It wasn’t ideal, but we were all family and agreed there would be little privacy during the weekend! Ice maker was AWESOME perk! We had a great time and would stay again!

Spacious home and Amazing lake view

We stayed for almost a week. Enough room for up to 12 people and more. A lot of beds . Clean rooms . Huge table downstairs for everyone to sit and enjoy meals together. Plenty of bathrooms , washer and dryer on both floors. Huge garage. Fishing, playing volleyball, grilling , enjoying fire at night. Very Friendly neighbors! Thank you for your beautiful home.
