”Unfortunately the hotel had some problems in the kitchen which impacted very badly on the menu for dinner, the breakfast, service (so slow) and noise. It would have been better to fix the problems before reopening or to have had the courtesy to let us know in advance what the situation was. I would have stayed somewhere else. Extremely disappointing as I’ve had lovely stays here in the past. ”

”We had a wonderful stay. The room was perfect and loved wandering through the gardens and nearby walks despite the weather. Cosy evening by the fireplace, red wine and board games. The Christmas decorations were tasteful and festive. Fantastic team of staff and look forward to returning.”

”Very dated decor ( not necessarily Victorian!) so many higgldy pickdly steps and differing floor levels all over the place. Was a pleasant stay but definitely not for anyone with mobility concern. ”

”Absolutely fabulous few days away. This is a real gem of a hotel. Quiet and secluded but a real joy to experience. The staff are so helpful and genuine (Rosie, Sharon and Oliver deserve medals) There was plenty of choice for breakfast, the cooked breakfast was tasty and well presented. The evening dinner menu and quality of food was 10/10. I think it could be even better with a slightly extended menu. We will be back x”

”The B&B Tim and Ken run is one of the best accommodation experiences I've had in Southern England. Stylishly and sensibly renovated rooms with Scandinavian decor, ensuite amenities included, in an intimate environment – meaning that you won't see people coming and going all the time. This is to say that the atmosphere is relaxed. The breakfast is superb with plenty of choices (I'd go for the homemade bagels). Your hosts will also go that extra mile for you. They kindly posted me my jacket I had...

”My room was in the coach house, just outside tje doors of the main building. It was very clean with just baked biscuits and Tregothnan tea. A gorgeous view of the garden was welcoming on arrival.”
