Kuten nimensä osoittaa, Piggeries on luotu alkuperäisistä piggereistä! Nyt se on viiden tähden kultainen, ylellinen, itsepalveluperiaatteella toimiva lomamökki, jossa on valtavia viihdyttäviä tiloja ja oma kylpyhuonemajoitus neljälle pariskunnalle. Se on ihanteellinen ryhmätaukoille tai erityistilaisuuksiin suuren perheen kanssa.

Näkymät Cumbrian rannikolle ja järvialueelle ovat upeita päivältä ja maagisia yöllä. Uudenvuodenaattona ilotulitus näkyy mailia kohti nojatuolin mukavuudesta puuhella.
LIVING

Piggeries-mökillä on erityinen viehätys ja ominaisuusrikas. Mökissä tehtiin suuri muutos, jolloin muodostui suuri kiinteistö, jossa oli neljä kylpyhuoneellista makuuhuonetta, joissa mahtuu kahdeksan tai yhdeksän vierasta.

Keittiö on mielellään kokki ja tarjoaa erinomaisen sosiaalisen alueen vieraille. Siinä on valtava, täysin varustettu, käsinmaalattu Mark Wilkinson -keittiö, jossa on vihreä Aga, kaasuliesi, uuni, astianpesukone, täysikokoinen jääkaappi ja pakastin, graniittiset työpinnat, saariyksikkö, istuimet ja ranskalaiset ovet, jotka johtavat puutarha.

Lisätty appelsiinityylinen ruokasali, jossa on lasikatto ja suuret ikkunat, jotka näyttävät puutarhaan. Ruokapöytä mahtuu kahdeksan.

Muutaman askeleen päässä valtava uusi olohuone, jossa on suuri kivitakka ja puuhella. Suuret kuvaikkunat ja ranskalaiset ovet johtavat viherhuoneeseen, jossa on taitettavat lasiovet, jotka voidaan avata kokonaan, jotta pääsy terassille ja yksityisille, maisemoiduille puutarha-alueille.

NUKKUMASSA

Alkuperäisen rakennuksen alakerrassa on kaksi makuuhuonetta. Yksi on kahden hengen huone, kylpyhuone suihkulla. Toisessa on kaksi erillistä vuodetta (mahdollisuus tehdä niistä super-king-size-vuode) ja oma suihkuhuone.

Rakennuksen uudessa osassa, johon pääsee kolmesta askelmasta aulasta, on kaksi suurta makuuhuonetta, joissa on täyspitkät ikkunat ja aukeavat ovet Juliet-parvekkeilla.

Maaseudulta on upeat näkymät rannikkoa kohti. Yksi makuuhuone on kahden hengen huone, kylpyhuone, erillinen suihku. Toinen on iso perhehuone, jossa parisänky, yksi sänky ja oma suihkuhuone.

ULKOPUOLELLA

Ranskalaiset ovet johtavat viherhuoneesta terassille, josta on istuimet ja upeat n��kymät yksityisille, maisemoiduille puutarha-alueille ja maaseudulle rannikkoa kohti.

This is one of the most immaculate holiday properties we have every stayed at. It was spotless and also very well equipped, and the garden was well kept too. We were here as part of a big group holiday, and will be returning next year.

Great place for large family get together. Clean and has everything you need. Four bathrooms were great and stores are about 10 minutes away if you need something. Also, communication with the owners was very good.

Fab weekend for my 60th

having stayed at 1 of the other properties previously, it seem obvious to book again. We were not at all disappointed. The property is kitted out to a high standard, plenty of glasses dishes etc and the en-suites all spotless and modern. Beth is always there to help with any enquires and the check in was so easy. The surrounding area is beautiful countryside. Just perfect for getting away from it all with the fun of Blackpool 30 mins away. Thanks again x we will be back!!

Excellent cottage in beautiful countryside

The Piggeries was a great place to stay for our few days away in Lancashire. Definitely gives you the 'Wow' factor when you walk in and explore. We soon relaxed into this lovely cottage and so enjoyed the space. The lounge area is amazing, so much room! Everything you need in the kitchen, and with comfy beds and an ensuite bathroom to each bedroom what more could you need? Oh yes, a lovely outside terrace and garden. We will be back.

Brilliant family weekend

When we arrived the cottage was decorated for Christmas and looked absolutely beautiful and welcoming. we were a family group consisting of 6 adults and 4 children. The property was spacious and warm, the kitchen very well equipped, the grounds and surrounding area lovely. Overall a wonderful place for a get together though a little pricey

Daughter's 40th

An ideal location to celebrate our daughter's 40th with our daughter & son and their families. The accommodation is spacious, clean and comfortable, with everything provided for our needs. Ample parking and also spaces to enjoy outside, plus plenty to explore in nearby Garstang and Scorton and numerous options for local walks. We had a fabulous time together and would definitely consider returning and no hesitation in recommending to others. Excellent communication with the owners who provided everything we needed to know both prior to and during our stay.

The Piggeries

Wow what an incredible property. Myself and my friends booked The Piggeries over New Year’s and it was perfect for what we wanted. We loved how quirky the layout of the property was, as well as it having a very homely feel to it. Location was nice and quiet, the cottage was clean and well taken care of, plenty of cooking/dining facilities, more than enough logs provided for the log burner indoors as well as the fire pit outdoors and so much more. Communication with the owners was great too, they were very helpful and any queries or issues were dealt with quickly. Overall it was a great stay and would definitely recommend to anyone considering booking here.

Amazing Stay for my Husbands 30th Birthday with Close Family

The Piggeries: An Unreal, Five-Star Stay for a Special Occasion! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We recently stayed at The Piggeries to celebrate my husband's 30th birthday, and I honestly can't describe how incredible the experience was—the house is truly unreal. From the stunning architectural design to the thoughtful, high-end finishes, every detail felt luxurious and perfectly curated. The common spaces were spectacular for entertaining, and the bedrooms were serene and comfortable. The photos online simply don't do justice to the scale, craftsmanship, and ambiance of the home. The property was equipped with everything we could possibly need and more, making our special weekend completely seamless and stress-free. It provided the most magical backdrop for such a milestone birthday. If you are looking for a venue that combines luxury, comfort, and breathtaking design for any group gathering or celebration, I cannot recommend The Piggeries highly enough. Thank you for providing us with unforgettable memories!

Great location, friendly hosts, lovely weekend away

My friends and I were after a remote location for a short weekend away to hang out and catch up. The Piggeries was the perfect location for us; all the amenities that we could have asked for, and more than enough space for us all to be comfortable. The hosts were kind enough to check on us and make sure we were alright. Everything was super clean and accessible. No complaints.

August Family stay

We had a lovely weeks holiday at the Piggeries and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to other family or friends groups. Location:- About 10/15 mins drive from the main A6, situated in the heart of the countryside - a quiet and relaxing 'way from it all' location. There are other self catering cottages on the same site but you'd never know as the buildings are quite spread out. Its worth saying that you can hear the hum of the M6 in the distance but that didn't concern us at all. we thought it was an Ideal location for visiting lots of different places in the area - Blackpool area about 40 mins - Morecambe area - similar time, We drove to Bowness in an hour, the forest of Bowland is on the doorstep, Lancaster about 30 mins away. Places to eat are not really within walking distance but a short 'ish' drive away. We opted to eat out during the day and return to the Piggeries in the evening to eat. The accommodation :- Massive communal areas - we loved the lounge on the ground level. very spacious & comfortable, modern TV system with a range of books & games on hand. Two large dining tables - one on each floor plus tables/chairs to eat outside or in the kitchen too. The weather wasn't nice enough to enjoy the outdoor areas that much but thats the trouble with our british summers! All four bedrooms are ensuite - the two biggest bedrooms overlook the rear garden and enjoy fabulous views across the countryside. One of these has a larger bathroom with a bathtub. The two bedrooms in the kitchen end of the property are smaller. We felt a little too small really - we would have happily sacrificed some of the communal living space so these bedrooms and their ensuites could have a bit more room. Appreciate that is easier said than done though, but its our honest view of the sleeping accommodation. The kitchen is very well equipped indeed, every bit of equipment you might need plus basic bits and pieces such as J clothes, dish washer tablets, salt and pepper etc were left for us to use, and very thoughtfully, some of the baking dishes and trays were pre-lined with tin foil to help with the washing up. Matches were left to light the gas rings - a proper lighter gadget would probably be safer though. A sponge cake was also left for us which was delicious - thank you for taking the time to do that. We made use of the tennis court which can be used by groups renting one of the cottages on the site. The court is kept in good condition and equipment is provided for guests to use. Check in is contactless so we didn't get to meet or speak to the owners on arrival. In many ways this is a shame, its but fully understandable and sensible in these current times. But, they are contactable by phone in the event of any problems and this was proved by their responsive approach to a small problem we experienced one evening.

Highly recommend

Although off the beaten track Barnacre Cottages are a really good find. Cottage was bigger than we thought it was going to be. The kitchen was enormous and well equipped. A couple of the bedrooms & bathrooms were a little cosy but comfortable. Sue & Terry Staples & family we’re very welcoming including leaving us a fabulous freshly made Victoria Sponge Cake. Loads of different things to do within 45 minutes of cottages. Highly recommend.

Best weekend

We stayed here for a special birthday and couldn’t have asked for more. The houses are incredible, set in a beautiful secluded location. Everything you could ever need is provided and I even received a birthday cake made by the lovely owners. It was a blissful weekend and we spent lots of time using the outdoor bbq and fire pits. We never wanted to leave and can’t wait to set some time aside to revisit!!! 10/10

A lovely stay everything was first class,.Sue was so helpful during the booking process.My husband loved the home baked cake on arrival.There really is nowhere quite like it for getting away from the stresses of everyday life.Some great walks on your doorstep for your four legged friends too.
