This hotel is under major renovations and as a result there is construction everywhere, The stairwells are closed and the elevators are padded with cardboard. Not the place for someone who may be claustrophobic. The front doors are so battered it looks like someone tried to break in, and the side doors are kept ajar most of the day, which does not give you a feeling of security. The front desk person was nice, but most times there was no one at the desk. There are no amenities to speak of and the rooms still waiting for renovations had cracked chairs, peeling formica tops, a rusted stove, a yellowing fridge, stained lamp shades, multiple holes in the sheetrock from the multiple times times they must have had to repair a rack or wall lamp . You had to take a shower quickly because the water did not drain and by the time the shower was done, there was a tub full of water. When I booked the room I was not informed of the construction or the added fee for having a dog, which I had told them about the dog when I booked the room. Believe me nothing my dog could have done could have made the condition of the room any worse. The hotel advertised itself as dog friendly, but there was no dog run, so since the hotel is on a major highway, you had a postage size space to walk your dog.
