”Excellent Breakfast - continental and cooked. Rooms are quaint - Wooden beams and low ceilings in places, and floors have unevenness of old floors. Staircases are steep and narrow. Rooms have plenty of space. Our room had a bath and shower attachment but other rooms have shower so one might need to ask if you have a preference. Very helpful staff. Dinner was good but a little pricey (maybe that was par for the area?). Outside area was beautiful - on the cricket green. Lots of parking space...

”Huone tilava ja siisti. Aamupala hyvä Sijainti kävelymatka kentältä, hyvin ohjeet kentältä”

”Huone siisti. Hyvät palvelut hotellilla. Lentokenttä kuljetus, maksullinen.”

”Siisti ja mukavankokoinen huone.”

”Bed was comfortable, breakfast was a positive surprise, customer service was friendly.”

”Upon check-in we asked if the room has a fridge and were told yes. This was important for medication that has to kept cool. Turned out that the room did not have a fridge (had been taken out). Contacted lobby, they kindly changed the room for upgraded one with fridge. This was on the top floor, where AC was not lowering the temp from 25 C even after three hours, too hot to sleep. Did not want to change the room again... The fridge was only up to +15 C, which was too warm for medicine, had to...

”Huone oli about sitä mitä hinnalta odotti. Siirtyminen stanstedin kentältä hotellille oli uberin varassa joka maksoi 8 min matkalta 42 puntaa. Aamulla kentälle tosin pääsi kätevästi bussilla.”

”A very comfortable country pub, with great food, top chef and well kept beer. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. My room was a tad small and basic but the bathroom was modern and hey this is a 16th century building and I enjoyed my stay.”

”Henkilökunta oli ystävällistä ja avuliasta.”

”No air-conditioning. (Just in case you need it.) A fan was supplied in the room and like the room could do with a good clean. Dresser glass top you could see the dust laying on top. Chair provided also had food remains, hair and dust from previous guests. Bed matress should have been retired many ,many guests ago. Springs digging in and undulating as lay. Bathroom was comparatively clean but also like the rest of the room very tired in appearance. Car park can be a little cramped, and can make...

”Room was clean but whole floor smelt of cigarette smoke. It’s a shame because the rooms are letting down the hotel as the rest of the hotel is very nice and it could be a top spot to visit. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the grounds were stunning! Food was also great but more on the expensive side. I had the burger on the menu (£18) it did come with chips and was tasty! Good place to stay if you want a short stay but it could do with some TLC”

”Hieman pölyinen huone. Huoneessamme ei ollut ilmastointia.”

”Lovely modern room in restored old building. Staff were helpful, and both dinner and breakfast in the pub were great.”

”On arrival Expedia booking which I paid in advance was declined but I wasn't informed so tried to pay with amex , but they wouldn't accept it. So had to pay on alternative card. Room was hot and stuffy, there were no bath towels or shower gel. The small kettle had a very small cable which was not detachable and was a stretch to get to a socket which I subsequently burnt my hand on trying to pour a drink. No hot food in the hotel incl evening meals and sparse continental breakfast was poor”

”Loved this place so much. It seems to be a local hangout which was fantastic. It’s on a busy street, so expect some noise, but other than that was fantastic. Already planning my next trip back!”

”Great stay !!”
