I stayed at the Omni Providence in April 2025 and am only now writing this review because it has taken me months to process how deeply upsetting this experience was.
While staying at the hotel with my daughter for a performance competition, I visited Fleur Providence Restaurant inside the hotel. Without provocation, the maître d’ (who I later learned was actually the restaurant’s General Manager) suddenly began yelling at me over a chair that someone else had moved. He screamed in my face, accused me of being rude, and told the bartender to cut me off after only one drink. I felt completely humiliated, frightened, and targeted, especially as the only Hispanic woman in the group. I truly believe I was racially profiled.
I reported the incident to the night manager, who promised a follow-up that never happened. Guest relations initially responded when I filed a formal complaint, but no one ever confirmed any corrective action. Months later, there has still been no formal apology or accountability from Omni or the restaurant.
I am posting this now so others are aware. No guest should feel unsafe or racially targeted in a hotel where they expect professionalism, respect, and basic human decency.
