The property itself is very outdated with very poor ventilation options. I came on vacation with my husband 6 months pregnant and the a/c and fan option in our room was non-existent despite calling the front desk to come and take a look. The entertainment also at this resort was non existent as well. The staff did a great job giving a performance but every night it was just dance shows. No comedy shows, magic shows, etc. also there were no day entertainment by the pools during the day just small side games of bingo, pool tables, etc. we’ve vacationed many places with better engagement. The food overall though was amazing and probably the best food option I’ve had in any resort.

The overall resort itself was not bad but I was extremely disappointed in the beach and oceat the resort which was my main reason for going to the Caribbean. Few things to point out that anyone thinking about visiting should be aware of: 1. The ocean at this resort is close to a river that feeds into it and washes trash a shore. On top of that it makes the water dirty looking. You do not get the beautiful caribbean water. The water was no better looking than the jersey shore. 2. At my time of travel in May 2024 there is ongoing construction of condos right next to the resort. I paid for a premium beach view suite which is as close to the construction as possible. This creates noise at all hours. Some of the construction workers seem to also sleep at the site and party at night. 3. At arrival I had to wait an hour for my room key because they didn't have the room ready yet. I did not seem to be the only one this happened to. Other than the above I enjoyed the resort. The food was decent and rooms clean. Staff was friendly. I didn't go to the pool but it looked clean passing by it.

I was ok over-all. Initially, the coffee machine didn't work, the hair dryer didn't work, the balcony door couldnt open. All resolved after calling for each issue. Everything else was fine. Its a family hotel. 4 days was enough for me. Would i go back? Most likely not.

The room flooded due to AC issue, called the front desk twice and they didn’t send anyone. A maintenance worker saw the water coming out into the hallway from my room and stopped by telling me to call the front desk, let him know I called twice. He then called the front desk, spoke to them and then they told me they were sending someone again which they finally did. My next room had a clogged sick and the door reader died the following day so I had to make two trips to the front desk who then sent someone to replace the battery on my door.

The staff is always happy, the food and drinks were awesome. I would recommend cleaning the beach debris in the early morning, not at noon. Also, start updating the old rooms and don't allow manager staff to park in the guest parking. I had to park every day in the employee parking.

However, it's worth noting that the rooms are showing signs of age and could benefit from an upgrade. The bathrooms, in particular, felt outdated, and amenities like fans, switches, and power supplies could use some attention to enhance the guest experience. One notable drawback was the lack of USB or charging ports throughout the facilities, which can be inconvenient for travelers relying on electronic devices. In an age where connectivity is essential, this is an aspect that could be improved upon. Despite these minor shortcomings, the positive aspects of the resort, including the friendly staff and cleanliness, largely outweighed the negatives, making for an enjoyable stay overall. The food and service and the restaurant was very good! Housing keeping helped us with all the problems in our room. Concierge Manuel was very attentive. The rooms need renovation and the internet was very bad! Airconditioning grill was dirty dirty, but the problem was solved later. The gardens are very beautiful. The entertainment Thames are great and the service at bar also.

Reservation made for a 5 nights 6 days, with check out scheduled for 4/29/24. When I checked in, there has been so many hiccups, sub standard and definitely not a 5 star certified issues. When I checked in I was assigned room 5105, upon entering room, I was met with very foul musty smell, unbearable humidity, mold, mildew all over the bathroom, chipped paint, a outright dirty and filthy, unacceptable room. The room was about 95 degrees and the A/C was not working. My body was engulfed by my perspiration. I contacted the front desk and was told they are trying to fix the issue and that I was not the only one having that issue, as if I should just relax, don’t complain and pelt in the heat. I asked for a room change because I couldn’t stand the heat and it was causing my asthma to exacerbate. It was not until I was having a full asthma attack and begging to leave that I was given another room. When I got to that room, let me say it was cool. The A/C was working, but for goodness sake! this room was just as dirty, nasty and repulsive. I had to request another room change. This is soo upsetting and frustrating; I couldn’t seem to get settle in and enjoy my vacation. I am on vacation and as a paying guest I should not be subjected to this, this is unacceptable! I am soo disappointed, I thought your 5 star reviews carried weight but there is nothing 5 star about this hotel. Let me say after contacting management, nothing really was done. Such a bitter taste in my mouth.

We just came back from here and I have to say I was very disappointed! I saw soooo many amazing reviews that’s why we booked it ! The entertainment staff was AMAZING ! The food was blah. I do have to say our say our room had a moldy smell and the ac was not working but they came right away and fixed it ! The staff is very helpful and nice ! They really need to work on the situation with putting towels by the pool at 4 in the morning ! My mother n law got up around 6:30 and put her stuff on chairs and someone moved it. If towels are left for more than 2 hours they should be moved . The beach water was disgusting with seaweed and garbage. We made the best out of it but the would not be returning

Staff was very friendly and hospitable. The hotel was beautiful and was kept very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Everything led to a very relaxing and stress free vacation. Definitely recommend.

I have been to five Iberostar properties across the Caribbean and Latin America. All of them, including this one, are part of a great chain of resorts. Unfortunately, this one seemed to lack compared to the others. It’s not really their fault. The beach area is not great. It is small and not very welcoming in appearance. The interior amenities are fine, just basic compared to other Iberostar. I’m still a big Iberostar fan. I just wouldn’t be quick to come back to this particular area.

They need to invest in maintaining this property which is 20 years old. My friend had to have her room changed twice because the toilet was not working. In my own room water was leaking. Staff was friendly. If you’re on a budget it’s an ok place to stay but no mas.
