The rooms were spotless, and the staff were very friendly. However, a few things need to be addressed urgently:
1) Bocados Steakhouse restaurant was a nightmare. The management, staff, and presentation of this restaurant were very unbearable. As soon as we sat down, they were not attentive to us at all. The menu was not distributed to every diner in my group, and the plates and cutlery were missing; we had to keep asking for a fork, plate, and a serving spoon. The restaurant was not clean at all. Dirt was everywhere, and hair came along in one of our drinks, and next, a fly fell into our food. The staff did not even serve the correct Whiskey label and attempted to cheat us. They need new management; otherwise, I recommend that the resort remove this restaurant from service immediately.
2) The public bathroom locks in the lobby are not functional, and every time I used them, someone would push the door open on me. They are neither private nor secure to use- I urge management to fix the locks to protect bathroom privacy.
3) The beach was not swimmable due to the excessive amount of seaweed and rocks. If you're looking for white sand and turquoise waters, that's not it. I do understand that there may be little someone can do here, but the first two points are more urgent to address.
Overall, our stay was phenomenal in other aspects of the hotel, where the Gourmet Hall, Hiroshi, Blanca Blue, and poolside servers did a fantastic job with their service and food.
