”This rambling old place has a lot of character, and some eccentricities. I have stayed here several times and never had a reason to complain. I am an elderly woman travelling alone and would not keep coming back if my rooms were not clean and very comfortable. The staff are always friendly and most helpful.
There is only limited parking but as yet I've had no problem - I understand that there is a public car park nearby, and also roadside parking is not difficult.

”Extremely disappointing stay and nowhere near the standard expected for a superior room.
We had booked a twin room but were initially given a double. When we were eventually moved to the twin room we had actually booked, the condition of it was unacceptable. There was hair across the bathroom, stained bedding, significant dust throughout the room and heavy dirt and buildup around the extractor fan and light fittings. The coffee machine still contained water and used pods from the previous...

”Very nice downstairs room, including a very cool ceiling and a cozy wonderful warm atmosphere. The room was smaller than we expected, including the toilet, where it was hard to maneuver between the toilet and the sink. However, we managed just fine and we thought it was very good value for the price.
Breakfast was wonderful!”

But would recommend.”

”Parking is very convenient and close to the village centre. Staff are friendly and helpful. The room is very small and not what was advertised. It had a skylight but no windows. Towel warmer didn’t work. Breakfast hours were advertised for 9-10:30. When we arrived at 10 they told us breakfast was closed, but when I pointed out their own hours listed on the card, they did make us breakfast.”
