”The hotel looks stunning from outside and whilst the common areas are small, they are beautifully decorated in a way similar to The Pig chain if you know that (quirky). Our room wasn’t that big and whilst the 4 poster bed was very comfy, it almost crowded the room too much. The tea and coffee machine was housed in a dolls house and on the landing was a ‘pantry’ where you could help your self to drinks and snacks. Again quirky and smile inducing. ”Booking in was very easy and friendly. All our special requests were granted. The room was clean and fresh. All staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Pizza in the garden was excellent as was a cheese platter. More than enough to eat and very tasty. York being the home of the Kit-Kat, there were free chocolate treats in the room and plenty more for the asking - a highlight of our stay!! All in all, the service was exemplary. ”The Hotel was in very good location and the breakfast was excellent. The down side was the lack of storage in the room, only one draw. A huge tv took up most of the wall and we had a view of a building site opposite. The room was clean but housekeeping removed our personal face cloths that we never saw again despite assurances that they would be returned. This was annoying as the hotel did not provide these and it was obvious that they were our property. The staff were friendly and helpful.”

”Nice and modern hotel close to the centre and key locations. Only negative aspect was the really loud music playing in the lobby, which makes it quite annoying entrance everytime you return to the hotel. Luckily the sound insulation is top class and you can’t hear the music - or anything else for that matter - in the rooms. ”
