Racine County: Matkat

Excellent location in downtown Chicago. Short distances to everywhere. Only downside was the weak shower pressure.

Great location, clean and beautiful. Elevator from ground to level floor was out several nights and the rooftop was not open.

Not a clean room, when we checked in, and unrolled the bed, the entire mattress topper had black hair, dust, and just looked soiled. We immediately called staff, and the housekeeping only brought up a change of linens and just asked us to put everything dirty in a bag and change it. Not ideal for a hotel in such a high end neighborhood. We also had to call them twice to bring up hand soap since there was none at check in. There was a used bandaid on the ground underneath one of the rolling chairs in the corner. One of the nightstand lamps, had a broken knob, so we couldn't even turn it on. They also dont remove credentials from Netflix acct as I was using someone else's account. I also had to connect the tv to the hotel wifi- never have I had to do that globally at any hotel! Avoid this hotel as its not worth the money, lack of attention to details. The front staff and housekeeping were friendly so props to them for working under this type of management.
