”We absolutely loved staying at Number Four at Stow. It was our first time in the Cotswolds. ”Arrival and check in was all good, restaurant was good great food. We stayed with a wedding party, so we had quite a few rooms. I believe the rest of the parties rooms were fine however my room was on the second floor. We we had suitcases to carry to the second floor, large mother of the bride dresses with a large hat box and accessories. ”You get what you pay for. The Inn was probably built in the 70s and was very unattractive. The room was cheap. The check in was underwhelming, the room smelt of dampness, mould and cheap detergent. I never took my shoes off due to the dirty carpet and brown stains on the bathroom floor. There were black hairs all over the bathroom and in one of the beds and may be others but we chose not to look. Light came through the bedroom blind. ”Clean and tidy room, good breakfast, not crowded when we stayed (April 8). Overall very good service. However at 10:38 someone started knocking the door of my room. It was cleaning staff. They opened it despite me being in the room with 2 keys from it. I told that I’m planning to stay until 11 AM which is my check-out time. It repeated second time in 5 minutes. Another lady knocked and opened the room. They did it to other rooms on the floor as I’ve heard them doing it. I was taking shower, so...

”Nice, comfortable bedroom but you could hear the noise from the road. View to a meadow. English breakfast ok, but I missed cheese and cold cuts on my slice of bread. Gym was good. Nothing to do within short walking distance, and I didn't find a nice route for evening walk either. I stayed here because had a meeting here, but next time would opt for a hotel in town.”
