Pacifica Hotels – Ragged Point, San Simeon

”We had a great time, as always... this is our 3rd time staying and we always leave with a smile. We ended our Nor Cal trip here for a couple of days and it was the perfect close to our vacation. Chill and fun all in one. Beds were cozy, enjoyed the fireplace - actually used it quite a bit during our stay, and with the ocean view, it set the tone nicely. ”This hotel is well located. The rooms are well presented and it is a nice touch to have different pillows available. Staff are generally helpful - we had a maintenance request on our first morning and it was dealt with pretty promptly. Whilst it is nice to have a very simple breakfast it seems cost cutting in the extreme not to offer plates - seeing seasoned guests carrying their personal plates to breakfast was most definitely an unexpected first. If like me, you left your plate at home...

”Bed was so hard, we didn’t sleep all night. The bathroom was cramped and small. The screens were ripped. There were spiders and ants throughout. There was a large free-standing tub in a hallway in front of the sliding glass door to the patio. Which was not private. Despite being a non-smoking room, there was a perceivable odor of cigarettes. The room was advertised as having a “partial ocean view.” The view was of a weathered fence, a public restroom across the road, a giant tree and WAAAAY off...
