”Lovely welcome from Ella on arrival. We have a standard double room which was perfectly adequate for our stay. Very clean, quality bed linen/towels. Mattress firm but to our liking but firm pillows not my preference but slept fine. Room facing road so light sleeper might find it a bit noisy but did not bother us. ”There was no clear indication of how we accessed the property. Despite trying to communicate with the owner, there was no response. We had to just turn up and hope for the best. ”I love these type of B&B’s. This B&B is steeped in history built in the 18th century, On the land owned by the Spencer family, Vincent Van Gogh also lived on the square, so this is not a modern hotel if that’s what you’re looking for, it has steep stairs and smallish rooms, but is full of character, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the hospitality was fantastic and the breakfast was delicious, the pub on the corner is very friendly and only a short walk to the beach.”
