”The property itself was immaculate. Great indoor and outdoor areas and a well equipped kitchen for preparing meals (there are no restaurants around the area). There is also a washer and dryer so you can do laundry. The only downside are the road conditions to the property; they are rocky and not well paved. The hotel does not have a proper check in / front desk, so locating the exact building for me to pay for the stay was a bit challenging. ”

”The Hekla Cabins are three, wonderful little cabins just off one of the main roads through the area. The cabin comfortably fit two, but there's a pullout couch (at least in Cabin One) for an additional sleeper. ”We started our Iceland holiday with first 2 nights stay at cabin 5A. I’m glad we did as it set the bar really high and at the end of our 9 day trip, the family unanimously agreed this was our favourite accommodation in the entire trip! Cabin had everything we needed, extremely clean, hosts were v responsive, and being in open lands (yet near enough to nearby towns), we were treated to 2 nights of auroras when we were there!! The hot tub brought so much joy too, can’t wait to be back! ”
