”We are a big family and were welcomed with open arms. Hotel Balsthal is a charming, modern hotel with a rustic feel to it.
We enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely be back.
Staff is very welcoming to children and went above and beyond to accommodate our little ones.
It is surrounded by beautiful nature trails and old castles to visit.
I strongly recommend staying here!!!

”Sadly there was no breakfast though my booking had implied breakfast included. But a lovely member of staff did spontaneously drum up a comprehensive continental breakfast (including croissants) for my daughter and me. Thanks for this! We had the room wth the river view very nice. ”

Trams leave almos from the door. Walk to river or to old town is not a big task.
Public transportation is free in Basel if you have hotel reservation. Excellent!"
