”Wonderful stay”

”I stayed in the hotel for a single night alone during my trip to England. The location is rather remote from the main city centre and the surroundings near the hotel are a bit dodgy, without any services nearby. On the positive side, the Strood train station is very near the hotel, so if using this station the location is very convenient. No reserved parking is available at the hotel, only regular street parking. The hotel itself is very barebones, with a tiny reception area and a very narrow...

”I booked this hotel for a one night stay. Then I read the reviews and wondered if I’d made a bad mistake. However, I can honestly say that we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel was quiet, clean and we were treated very well. Excellent value for money. ”

”We were on the 2rd floor and the steps were very narrow for walk up and down on. Found it a bit risky. But overall cheap and cheerful ”

”OK Lodge is just a name; what is is is a (nicely) extended and converted terraced house opposite a park; so now a few studio flats, with some common areas. Modern and clean but a couple of issues - like oven not even wired in; no table to eat off; and also whilst we booked for 3 adults and was confirmed; they called to say max was 2 adults & a child and would not refund the extra £50 for the 3rd adult (who couldn't now come of course) and I had to go through Expedia to get resolved. ”The room was small but very comfortable especially the bed which was perfect for a relaxing sleep. Staff were amazing and I couldn’t fault their kindness and eagerness to help. It was very dog friendly but it would have been nice to have had something available in the room for my dog such as a water bowl etc but that is a minor point”
