Welcome to our family home, a bright top-floor apartment in Ofanleiti, one of Reykjavík's quiet residential neighborhoods. This is a real home rather than a rental unit, so you will find personal touches throughout, including some lovely old Icelandic furniture alongside the modern comforts.

The space

Two bedrooms sleep three guests: a master with a king bed, and a second bedroom with a single. There is a full bathroom with both a shower and a bathtub, and a fully equipped kitchen with washer and dryer, so you can cook proper meals and travel light.

The living room opens onto a south-facing covered balcony with a view toward Perlan and the wooded slopes of Öskjuhlíð. There is a grill out there if you want to cook outside, and the covered design means you can sit out even when the weather turns. A Samsung smart TV with streaming and a PlayStation 5 keep the evenings easy.

Please note the apartment is on the 3rd floor with no elevator.

The neighborhood

Kringlan, Iceland's largest shopping centre, is a two-minute walk away with groceries, restaurants, a cinema and a pharmacy under one roof. Downtown Reykjavík is ten minutes by car or bus. Öskjuhlíð's walking trails start just down the road, and Nauthólsvík geothermal beach is close by for a hot tub and a sea dip.

Free parking is included directly in front of the building, a genuine rarity in Reykjavík.
