”We had a lovely stay at Kingfisher cottage. The grounds of Maesgwynne Mansions (on which this small courtyard of cottages is situated) are lovely; this time of year flowering rhododendrons are a highlight, and a walk around took us past the fishing lake and neighbouring fields with various farm animals. There are fabulous views, and the outdoor swimming pool had a cover enabling us to use it even in early May. very peaceful & highly recommended.”

”The decor and soft furnishings were gorgeous. Our room was spotless and warm. We could open the window to suit ourselves which I like. It had the feel of a very well- maintained manor house. The dining room has ornate original plasterwork and other original features. Our breakfast was freshly cooked to order and I recommend the porridge and the delicious vegetarian glamorgan sausage. Lovely, friendly and helpful staff. ”

Only slight disappointment was the bed being very hard and quite uncomfortable, it was however a good size. Will definitely return. ”

”Excellent weekend break with really nice spa. Book spa ahead of stay but definitely worth the effort. Inexpensive drinks in bar with great views and really comfortable seating. Great cocktail menu. All in all faultless. Definitely recommend. ”
