”The rooms were nice but need a bit of updating, worth paying for garden room as twice we saw deer in the garden, there is one sofa in the bar area that is filthy and torn and needs binning”

”For the very reasonable price we paid we can't complain! A good stopover for 1 night, but I wouldn't choose to stay for more than that. Parking was a big bonus. Bedding and towels were clean, but the room and pub itself could do with a good clean.”

”The hotel is incredible and the staff to match. Food is good quality although service can be poor at times. Certainly recommend staying, as this hotel is very relaxed with pets (dogs) allowed to stay.”

”If you cannot walk upstairs there is no lift”

”Room was small . no wardrobe space. Bathroom only had a shower and everything was cramped. Access to the room was up a very difficult staircase. Staff were amenable. Food was o.k”

”I have just stayed at The Fighting Cocks for the weekend. Unfortunately we choose the weekend of the A31 closure and the New Forest fires! Resulting in a lot of traffic passing the pub. Not their fault. The staff were very helpful and friendly the room was great, clean and comfortable and breakfast was included and really tasty. We had an evening meal on the Saturday which was ample and reasonably priced. All in all a great little stop over.”
