”I found some nail clippings on the carpet at the side of the bed. Wall was stained with a large coffee splash. Very poor soundproofing between rooms. Rooms and bed quite small, heating didn't work so room was cold. No fridge. Breakfast was particularly poor. Watery, tasteless orange juice. Bacon tasted only of salt, sausages cheap and tasteless, stale loaf left out from one day to the next.”

”The room was not clean enough, Trash under the bed and hairs on the pillow. Breakfast poor, the first day very limited amount of products and day by day they added something more. ”

”This hotel is very good. Yes the rooms and eating area is a little dated. But it all works, its clean, the breakfast is nice and the staff lovely. The hotel is a good location and makes a good base. Getting into York is pretty easy either by the close by P&R or by car down the A19 into City Centre. Parking at Hotel is good although if you have a large 4x4 then maybe not.”

”I got a room that is suitable for disabled people. Bathroom wasn't really nice. Room was also one of those rooms that could be connected to the other room. Too bad that it also meant that I could hear everything that was happening in the room next to mine. Not nice to hear loud voices in the middle of the night. When I mentioned that while checking out, the lady in the reception said that because I booked through hotels.com I didn't get that good room. Should book directly from the hotel, she...

”Attentive and friendly staff, efficient check in and check out. Comfy toom with the Marriott bed linen, always a good sleep. Hotel in quite a good position in town with good entrance for drop off and pick up.”

”Fabulous new hotel and lovely room. Room was warm though with no opening windows and fresh air. AC wouldn’t stay on so may be a teething problem. Room was fabulous apart from that. Hot breakfast items were lukewarm which was disappointing. Plenty of choice. ”

”Paid for a suite , room itself was lovely and large , beautiful bathroom. When we arrived at the room in the afternoon all the bedroom curtains were closed , including the ones to the outdoor balcony. Once we opened them we realised why …… a massive building project , scaffolding etc literally metres away from our room , so much for the garden view . Room was looking a bit tired cosmetically but still lovely , house keeping must only clean from eye level down as when I got into bed the ceiling...
