”4 night stay April 2026 (Sunday to Thursday) - accommodation very clean, comfortable and modern, hosts very welcoming - location peaceful (a few sheep and horses over the fence at the bottom of the garden, but no noise) and nice dark skies (I saw a few Lyrid meteors during my stay!). Great kitchen facilities (so you can easily self-cater if you want) and excellent shower, better accommodation than a hotel if visiting the area IMHO. Well located, Hastings, Rye & Great Dixter all a quick drive...

”We had a lovely stay at Amelia Cottage while visiting family in Battle. Such a nice and warm welcome from the owner. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you need. The garden is lovely and well maintained with many flowers. The location is perfect, it is close to the playground and to Battle High Street. The local supermarket Jempsons is only a few minutes walk away and that was also very handy. We will definitely book again!”

”We loved everything about our stay in Mafeking. The house, the garden and Benenden are all beautiful. Mafeking is a great choice for familys, there are plenty of toys and a lovely playground nearby. We extended our stay because we loved it that much and had a very friendly and accommodating experience with the costumer service. Next summer holiday we will be coming back and are really looking forward to visit Mafeking again. Absolutely recommended.”

”The novelty of staying in a 400 year old property, in an incredible location, right in the middle of Rye, made this the perfect place for a long weekend. Everything needed was right out the front door - museums, castle, pubs, and cafes. The actual house was well laid out with decent furnishings and clean towels, and linens. "Hotelli sijaitsee rantakadun varrella, vain kadun yli, ja pääsee uimaan. Katu kylläkin on vilkasliikenteinen, mutta se ei kuulunut sisälle asti. Myös paikallinen nähtävyys, Eastbournen Pier laituri on lähellä. Näkymä hotellihuoneesta merelle oli myös huimaava. Hotellirakennus itsessään on vanha, sitä on kunnostettu, mutta se ei haitannut. Rakennuksessa on myös hissit. Ystävällinen henkilökunta, sekä päivällisen että aamiaisen nauttimismahdollisuus."
