First off, Valdonica is a beautiful location in the Tuscan countryside, and we loved the scenery and area around it. This is a place you go to relax, not to party or mingle with big crowds, its not a tourist-place at all.
The room was nice, the bed was a bit hard for our tasting so we did not sleep all that well, but overall quite good. It was only one chair in the room, for a typical couples place, you would expect it to be 2 chairs so you could sit together instead of one having to be on the bed at all time. The room had an outdoor area which was nice, but it was quite windy and we were on the shadow-side of the building, so it was a bit too cold to sit out there.
The people working there are really nice, and the owner stopped by now and then for a chat so it was cool. However, the best part with the place was the people we met while being there. Since its a small place, everyone wants to get to know the others, so we had tons of fun, did wine-tasting, horseback-riding and dinners every night with other people we've never met before.
The closest villages have a few restaurants/pizzerias. They were great, nice people running it and very good and comfortable atmosphere. Just be aware of the fairly long siestas, from around 12.30 to 16.30+ everything is more or less closed and you wont find much to do or buy around there.
The place comes highly recommended from us, and we might go back there again later.
