”lol when I told my staff where I’d booked they said your staying in the murder hotel (no murders have actually taken place btw) but is there was a hotel you could be murdered in this is the place !!!! I had to share my room with about 25 silver fish insects running around my bathroom and when I showed videos of the rather massive insects I was told we will get pest control out lol ! Course you will ;) the school next door means if you leave for work at anytime between 8-9 am you are not going...

”The Grains bar hotel was selected over others primarily for its location which had several teenage memories. We were visiting family in Smallbridge, Rochdale ... 4miles away, so very convenient. Excellent greeting and first impressions. Ample seating areas, small bar area next to reception, large brekki, dining room but lacked atmosphere. Other rooms (not viewed incl Wedding venue) available. Good meals and menu. Rag pudding...well! Yes, the parking is a tad awkward, ie circa 20 spaces...

”Great place to stay with a warm welcome. Rob and Jan are very friendly hosts, made us feel at home. A short walk into Todmorden and had a lovely day. Had a great sleep in a very comfy bed. All topped off by a lovely breakfast the morning after. Couldn't have asked for more. Hope to be back in the future. Thanks Toothless Mog for a lovely stay! 👍👍👍 ”

”Car park is being re-done got woken up by diggers in the morning. Not necessarily hotel’s fault but noisy guests slamming doors until midnight & talking outside my room was quite annoying & meant I could not sleep until gone midnight. ”

”Hotel good breakfast was disappointing No choice of eggs no black pudding every mushrooms rubbery the rest not cooked properly Ie. All cooked in oven not fried. ”

”Great that there was free parking, staff were probably the friendliest I’ve ever seen. Rooms over the bar a bit noisy with music, doors banging ect but it does close at 12 so had a good nights sleep. Disappointed breakfast wasn’t provided but there was tea/coffee/ biscuits in the room.”

”We stayed at this beautiful cottage last weekend and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The owners were incredibly helpful, especially when we let them know we wouldn’t be arriving until midnight — they couldn’t have been more accommodating. The cottage itself is absolutely stunning, set in a fantastic location with truly amazing views. We loved the peace and quiet, and it was the perfect place to switch off and unwind. ”Room Was Nice On Ground Floor.Had a Stench of Dump With a Dehumidifier in the Room to Cover Up the Smell.Had to Ask For Air Freshener.”

”Lovely room. The shower cubicle was a bit small, but the shower was good, although no heating in the shower room. The room was accessed via two flights of narrow stairs. Breakfast was reasonable, but could do with yogurt and fresh fruit with the cereals. No offer of separate toast..one piece provided with the breakfast. No jams or marmalade on offer either. The main meals and menu gor dinnrr was excelent”

”Nobody on reception obvious someone was,stayed before obviously know I have mobility issues,put me in the worst room possible top floor end of the corridor, when I made it, double booked the room,the guy tried to imply I was I was lying, fortunately I met a member of staff who was off duty,and changed me to a ground floor room next to the entrance ”
