”Fabulous place I only stayed here because of a Bruce Springsteen concert in Sunderland so all the Hotels in Newcastle were full. Well worth a visit. Only downside was the size of my fish at dinner. Can only be described as a child’s portion but they brought another half without any complaint. ”

”We had a wonderful stay at Settlers lodge. Beautifully decorated and very well equipped! Loved seeing the squirrels around the garden! Set in a great area for walking and exploring. ”We had a really excellent 5 day stay. Our room (3) was huge with 2 kingsize beds and a large sofa. Bathroom was also a good size. The breakfast was good with excellent friendly, prompt service. A really good location for visiting the area and not too busy. Parking was never a problem. It would have been useful to have some plug-in bed side lights rather than battery operated nightlights.
