A Wave From It All



The Space:

Classic Oregon coast style meets modern comfort in this lovely oceanfront home. Guests will be just a short walk to the shore, and there's so much lovely beach to enjoy close by! Sit around the firepit together, or enjoy grilling together out on the furnished patio. Views of the ocean can be enjoyed both outdoors and in. But inside, guests will feel right at home surrounded by classic Oregon coast decor - including all the wood paneling old school beach fans could ask for. The full kitchen features full-size appliances (including a dishwasher) and all the equipment guests need to cook up favorite dishes. In the upstairs lounge, guests can play games, observe the ocean through the provided telescope, or breathe in the lovely sea air from the balcony. The downstairs lounge (complete with a full-size fridge for late night snacks and drinks) serves perfectly as a hangout space for younger guests.



The bedrooms of this home are spread out across all three floors - the first bedroom on the main floor features extra seating and direct access to a balcony with a neighborhood view. Upstairs, the second bedroom is just across from the lounge. This friendly room features neighborhood views and a desk workspace for anyone that needs to finish up remote work. On the lowest floor, the third and fourth bedrooms each feature one-window views of the lower level.

The stone fireplace is currently out of order.

The downstairs lounge futon provides an extra sleeping space.

Check in not great. My fault for emails into junk mail, but then 20 minutes on phone for customer service. We had asked if we could check in early , got told that Casado that we would not know until check in day and then never heard.When we got here:- bad smell like dead mouse in kitchen, checked all cupboards but didn’t find anything.- lower level VERY damp, could use dehumidifier, clothes damp in mornings - hot tub smelled bad, so didn’t useKitchen , main living area, view, location all great.

Nice little beach house

We had a great time. The house was perfect for us. The views from the house are amazing. The kitchen was well stocked. The house was clean. It's nothing fancy but was perfect for our stay and we would absolutely stay again.

Great location

Beautiful views. Great location. Quarry layout that is perfect for families as the bedrooms are spaced out on different floors, so we didn’t need to worry about our kids waking up the other kids. Hot tub and fire pit were a big hit. We will be back!

Elders needed more info

We enjoyed the house a lot, however we were surprised by the stairs required. We did okay, but as elders who had one of our group that was challenged by stairs, it would have been good to know that in advance. Also that really tall bed needs some stools nearby for access.

2 family retreat

Previous reviews were spot on. This place was the perfect layout for our 2 families with 5 kids of various ages. We loved the location, oceanfront with a mature hedge on both sides for privacy, and of course the hot tub.

Great beach access and view of ocean.

Lots of room for everyone to have their own space and also to gather together. We enjoyed the firepit and the large supply of firewood. The house was cleaner when we left than when we arrive so maybe housekeeping needs to be checked in on. Will definitely be back!

A True Beach House

"A true beach house," my husband called it. We have stayed many places in Rockaway Beach, and this place had the easiest path from deck to wet feet. The house is comfy, our bed was comfy. I think the biggest drawback to the place for me is that the main bedroom is on the side of the house closest to the road so instead of the sound of crashing waves putting me to sleep, it was the sound of passing cars. So if you want to drift away to the ocean, bring a sound machine. Another less than ideal feature are the narrow stairways. The hot tub is wonderful and actually hot! All in all, I would recommend it. Oh..and if you find yourself stuck in the bathroom on the middle floor, jostle the door to dislodge the lock. Save yourself the five minutes of panic I went through. Lol

Great location but stripped of amenities

The beach access was the best part of the stay. The house had taped up ceiling lights that were falling down. No working vacuum, only a broom. No extra bed linens, no bed bug protector on pillows or beds. No iron or ironing board, which made for crumpled clothes in family photos. Kitchen cooking items were put together from thrift stores it seemed. Mismatched cheap silverware, no real mixing bowl or spatulas, mismatched cookware, chipped bowls and plates. Only 3 garbage sacks and 2 kitchen towels, ran out of toilet paper as they only provided 2 rolls per bathroom for a week stay. Could be a good place if they cared about hospitality instead of stripping all amenities for more profit. Contacted vacasa and it was no response for hours called 3 times, tried their texting service- poor customer service.

Amazing beach

The access to the beach was amazing. The house is spacious and comfortable but a bit run down. Lights falling from the ceiling and outdoor furniture was old and dirty. It’s a great location but hope the owners do some needed maintenance.

Great place! Perfect for families.

From the wood pellet stove on the cold nights, to the private hot tub overlooking the beach on one side and the forested hills in the opposite direction, to the multiple floors with increasingly better ocean views, to the warm cozy feel, this beach house was in a perfect setting. There is a fire pit in the back yard which is literally a direct continuation of the beach with sand right up to the back porch. We roasted hot dogs and s’mores one night after soaking in the very clean hot tub. The house was clean and didn’t have a musty smell like many other homes we’ve stayed in on the coast. We would definitely stay here again without reservation.

Great Location

Couldn’t beat the location and beach access/view. Beds were super comfy, with the exception of the futon on the bottom floor. No adult would be able to sleep on that comfortably. Also one roll of paper towels for a house that sleeps 10 was not enough. 10:00AM check out was also too early when check in isn't til 4:00PM. Loved the Hot Tub and fire pit area and the big dining room table was great for games! Would come back for sure!

Great spot!

Perfect spot for a weekend get away with friend. Beach access directly in front of the house making walks easy. Hot tub was in good condition and clean. The mattresses could be updated but that’s our only complaint.
