”Not our first stay here. As usual everything brilliant. Can't wait to go back.”

”The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and tidy and had more than could be expected.”

”We loved our stay, beautiful big room, gorgeous river view, amazing food, friendly staff, lovely atmosphere. Thank you”

”Rooms are on 2 different levels so very quiet. We stayed in room 2 which was lovely, with tea & coffee etc and very welcome biscuits. No need to bring shower products as they are all provided. Breakfast was excellent with a choice of items (ordered the night before). The fruit salad was fab & I can highly recommend the omelette! My husband had the full English, which he really enjoyed. Offered more tea/coffee & toast. The hosts Jane & Mark were lovely and very helpful regarding the local area...

”Rooms are comfy and well presented Beds are very comfortable Food is excellent and staff very friendly So much choice for breakfast Very worth a stay”

”I had to ask for towells for the room, also had to ask for toilet paper otherwise every thing about the hotel was perfect. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was excellent. I have stayed at this hotel many times before and have never had any previous problems.”

”Bathroom was not clean and the sink was cracked. It was difficult to get used to paying for meals before eating them! Staff were unable to raise a statement /receipt for payment! Parking was OK.”

”Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast, we had a great choice of breakfasts, the full English was a bit too big for me, I couldn't finish it, I should have gone for the small English. Plenty of parking. I would recommend booking a table for dinner as soon as possible, this venue is very popular with the locals. We would definitely stay at the Recruiting Sergeant again.”

”Stylish, luxurious, discrete, and an absolute joy to stay in! loved The Dial House.”

”Really had a lovely stay”

”The room was full off cobwebs and dust. The staff were lovely Food very good”

”What stood out immediately was the cheerful and helpful staff. Well done to all - from the guy who checked us in to the one who made breakfast for us. Very comfortable room with good facilities We only stayed for one Sunday night so managed to get a parking space but I doubt that would happen again during the week or in high season. Double yellow lines everywhere so would need to go to a parking lot. Not sure how much that was.”

”Very good accommodation. Great location, rooms were good and staff helpful. Breakfast came in a hamper in your room, very nice touch, plenty of it. Would definitely go back”
