Matkat – Rousay

Great little place, in a great little village. Easy access to the Orkneys. Robertson's Pub is a local place with good food an atmosphere, just around the corner.

VIehättänä pieni yksityisomisteinen hotelli, jossa mukavat huoneet, hyvä siisteystaso, erinomainen wifi. Aamiainen omaa luokkaansa lämpinine annosriokineen sekä noutopöytine, joissa mm. tuoreita marjoja. Viihtyisä hotelli ja hyvä palvelu. Huomioonottava henkilökunta.

This hotel was very convenient for a stay off the ferry from Scrabster. It was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful.

This is a great family-run hotel whose owners and family work their socks off to ensure you have a nice stay. The highlight of the hotel is restaurant and pub, which serves really lovingly prepared meals using local ingredients, good portions and honest prices. The staff are all really friendly and there’s a great choice of local beers and whiskeys to try. Of course, its location just in front of the port with its ferry terminal and bus centre is also a highlight too - just roll out of bed and you’re ready to go to the major archeological and cultural sites via bus or take a ferry to Hoy. The rooms were functional, the bed comfy, although the extractor fan didn’t work but given the small number of rooms and their constant use in the summer season I think that can be understood and it didn’t impact our stay.
