Wooded Log Style Home on the River, easy access off Hwy 10

It is the up north get away you are looking for, closer to home! Enjoy a day by the water, or playing in the big back yard. Dinner and a drink on the beautiful patio. Cuddle up to a night campfire and watch the sunset over the river. Our home is nestled on a dead end road and a wooded 1.75 acre lot. This is a great get- away for those quilters and scrapper bookers as well! Contact us about those amenities for you!

Great Relaxing Stay by the River
We really enjoyed our stay! It was a great location for the wedding we were visiting for and had everything we wanted for a relaxing weekend right off the river in a beautiful home!

Hot water
The home is in a beautiful area as well as home is beautiful The floors are pebble stone and rough but we were informed of this The hot water heater needed to be reset as we had no hot water, once we got that corrected we had to figure how the shower worked the fireplace did not work but that was corrected the ext day The owners of the home were quick to respond to correct any issues we had. However that being said please update your instructions to include how the bottom floor shower needs to be turned on,and let future renters know the fireplace is turned off and we suggest getting a new cleaning lady

Great place to relax
Had a wonderful stay in this beautiful cabin while visiting family in Royalton. The cabin is gorgeous and the grounds are lush and well kept. We had everything we needed to cook and enjoy our time, even a Blackstone on the patio. The property is close enough to everything you need but still very private. We would definitely stay again and recommend the property to anyone who enjoys the great outdoors!

Secluded Oasis in the Woods
We really enjoyed our stay here, and would definitely come back. Venue is a beautiful, secluded site, and provided just what we needed this trip-an environment of rest and restoration. Loved the hot tub and sauna. Would recommend adding either blinds or a curtain in the upstairs bathroom for more privacy, even though the window only faces woods. Thanks for all you do to make the guests feel welcome.

Home away from home
This cabin was so beautiful and peaceful! If you are looking for a place to get away that is not a plane ride away, I would highly recommend. The house is fully stocked with everything you need but you will not spend much time indoors. The patio, firepit area, and short walk down the hill to the river was where we spent the majority of our time. The host was also amazing to work with! She was very responsive and accommodating. We are already talking about a return trip in the future. Thank you for the great memories!

Peaceful Perfection
The house and property are beautiful, and the hosts are very gracious! Every member of my party was very pleased with the accommodations. If we ever have the need to stay in the area again, this place will be our first choice. My only suggestion for improvement is to provide better lighting inside in the bedrooms and outside by the garage entry door.

The fire pit was awesome! We loved the charcoal and propane grills and also the black stone! The patio was really nice. The lighting in the kitchen could have been better. The bed in the pull out couch upstairs was very poor. Overall, it was a great experience!

Wonderful Place to Get Away
Beautiful home and beautiful property. Being so close to the river was absolutely magical. Owners were incredibly thoughtful and responded immediately to any question we had. Highly, highly recommend.

Everything was perfect except the Floors
When we first found out about the rough flooring of the cabin we had already left our home. The email from the owners was sent with this description after we had already left our home to spend time with family for a couple of days before going to the cabin. The main floor is very coarse and I highly recommend slippers or house shoes, which was also recommended in the owner's email, but this information should be part of the cabin's description on VRBO, not in an email a couple days before someone checks in. The two bedrooms upstairs also have some gaps in the flooring. But besides the floors, everything else was absolutely perfect. We really enjoyed the fireplace, the giant TV upstairs, the modern appliances and all the cupboards were well stocked. Overall this place is great, as long as you pack some rubber soled slippers for everyone.

Amazing place to stay
This house was perfect for our family and parents to stay and get ready for our son's wedding. The house was very clean and stocked very nicely. The host went above and beyond our expectations to help make sure everything we needed she would help us out if she could. Beautiful house on the river
We rented this house for a large group of our family that came to town. We had a total of nine people (kids and adults) there at one time. The house is absolutely beautiful, furnished very well. There was plenty of space for our family to spread out both inside and out. We loved sitting outside on the patio and walking along the river. While the sun is able to shine through there's plenty of shade as well. Inside the house, the stone and the wood is all so unique and beautiful. It's a charming house. Everyone in the family appreciated having a place to stay that was so clean and comfortable. The owners are available to answer any questions and respond so quickly if you need anything at all. They even provided complimentary bottle of wine upon arrival! This is a beautiful property. You won't be disappointed.

All State Choir and Family Retreat
The log home was awesome, the setting spectacular, and our family retreat amazing. Everyone had a great time relaxing and spending time together. The home was as advertised and much more. The home was very clean, the beds comfortable, the kitchen well equipped, great wifi, and a very nice patio to enjoy the fantastic setting. Loved the rustic interior and furnishings, and our hosts Penny And Chris played everything out perfectly in their welcome letter. We will be back again. Magnificent!
One could describe perfection as “those who strive to make experiences great for others”. That’s how I would classify the owners Royalton log cabin. Our stay was over the top on so many levels. The cabin was pristine, gorgeous & utterly delightful. My only other comment is: Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. The home is lovely & the owners saw to every detail. 11 out of 10 stars.

Bachelorette party get away
This was a perfect place for a chill Bachelorette party. We went kayaking with Evergreen Outfitting and then spent the rest of the time hanging out at the cabin. The hosts were so nice and accommodating. The kitchen is well stocked with supplies for cooking and had everything we needed. There were plenty of sleeping places and everything was clean and comfortable. The cabin is rustic which we enjoyed, but as another guest said shoes are recommended downstairs due to the pebble floor. The floors are really cool just a bit rough on your feet. We loved the place and highly recommend!

The perfect getaway spot!
Wow! We couldn't be happier with our choice to book this property for our wedding anniversary getaway. The cabin is at the end of a dead end road and surrounded by trees to give it that truly "away from it all" experience. It was the perfect place to unplug from the rest of the world and be refreshed for several days! The cabin itself is spacious and inviting. The decor and finishes are beautiful throughout. All the seating is incredibly comfortable, our first experience in many bookings where we literally had so many great options for couches/chairs. The view of the lake from inside the cabin, the patio or yard is so relaxing and inviting. The hot tub was a great way to unwind. (Note that the fireplace is currently unusable as it will be converted to gas in the fall 2023, but with the warm weather we didn't have a desire to use it.) The hosts have taken great care to create a wonderful space and you will not be disappointed!

BED BUGS
We utilized this house for an annual fishing trip that 10 of us travel to every year. I have a spotless 15 year record as a tenant and have never given a single negative review. When we arrived to check in, the property was great! It was everything we had hoped for. Other than the floor being hard to walk on in bare feet, and having no dishwasher, it was near perfect. The problems came on the third night when we discovered a live bed bug. This was in one of the upstairs bedrooms. After discovering this we searched the entire home. We found 2 dead bed bugs in the hallway adjacent to the bedroom and also 2 more dead bugs in the bathroom downstairs around the toilet. We immediately informed the owners and sent them pictures. We ended up finding another live bed bug in the same bedroom. Since this caused a major disruption during our trip and when we arrived home, we messaged the owners requesting a refund which we felt was reasonable given the circumstances. The response we received from the owners was very disappointing. They stated that no refund would be given due to an inspection being done and accused us of bringing the bed bugs in with us. They also accused us of leaving a mess, damaging property, and leaving "excessive" garbage, which is patently false. We performed all the typical check out procedures even though we weren't provided with any instructions including hand washing all of the dishes. I would not recommend staying at this property.

River hideaway!
This is a beautiful cabin in the woods right up against the Mississippi river. There is lots of wildlife around and many great views. The host was very easy to communicate with and solved any issues very quickly. We loved our weekend here! The first floor surface is a unique pebble rock in concrete. It is a little odd on the feet at first, so bring thick socks or slippers. The sauna is a wonderful addition. We will be back!
