”Enjoyed the stay. Service is excellent and facilities are in excellent shape. Breakfast is high quality and plenty. Loved the atmosphere at the pub and the food. Too bad that the day is short during the winter. Didnt see the surroundings after the day at work in Sittingbourg. The only con is the soundproofing.”

”I stayed in the hotel for a single night alone during my trip to England. The location is rather remote from the main city centre and the surroundings near the hotel are a bit dodgy, without any services nearby. On the positive side, the Strood train station is very near the hotel, so if using this station the location is very convenient. No reserved parking is available at the hotel, only regular street parking. The hotel itself is very barebones, with a tiny reception area and a very narrow...

”Very friendly and welcoming staff. This is a five hundred year old building so don't expect a Premier inn with nice even floors and shiny paintwork, however if you want a pub hotel with real character this place is a gem. Every member of staff was great and couldn't do enough to make the stay perfect. Unfortunately we didn't get to have a meal there but the breakfast is absolutely worth getting up for. We will be back. ”
