”I honestly can't understand why this hotel is rated as well as it is showing online. When travelling I always stayed here previously but it has been a significant time since my last stay when it was a Premier Inn. The room on the lower floor had an odour of urine and felt damp. The bed mattress was worn with no support. Thankfully The bedding was clean. The room overall was oversized and felt damp. The shower had a small cockroach looking insect residing. And the door had no security latch...

”The room was right above the kitchen extraction fans and was drooming all the time of our stay at the hotel and with the weather being very hot we couldn't have the window open due to the noise and spoil our stay at the hotel sadly we won't be returning to the hotel and report to reception and fell on deaf ears and charge full rate of the bill.”

”I booked a standard ensuite double room but upgraded to the Tudor Suite. I chose this hotel because it is hundreds of years old, which is something we don’t get to experience much in the USA! The hotel obviously has all the charm of such an old place and would be awesome for a romantic getaway (although I was traveling alone on this trip!). There is lots of parking, which is free. ”We had no room service eg change of towels. Also never came in to change the bin. We had to keep asking for things. Carpet syained, walls all marked. Windows bad, couldnt close one. An absolute nightmare.”
