”Hope Cove is a lovely place to stay. Food at the Hope and Anchor was five star. Staff were friendly. We did feel however that certain parts needed more attention. There was thick dust under the dresser in restaurant area. There is a paying car park next door which was £12 for 24 hours.”

”It was a lovely old pub and the food was ok, but the rooms weren’t very nice, it all needs a complete overhaul to the bedrooms, if they expect people to stay and give a good review. Lovely breakfast, but room was very poor.”

”All in all the stay at browns was fab. My only issue would be floor in the bathroom needed repairing as wooden floor had gaps and discoloured with the shower bottom also in the same condition. However fan hotel and very friendly staff with good location. Dartmouth is a beautiful place.”

”Food was great, staff very helpful, bar and dining room very tidy and clean, good range of drinks, both alcoholic and soft although I am out of touch with prices so had a bit of a shock. This is not a negative, just reality. Plenty of parking and convenient at the rear to avoid stairs. Some areas are in need of decorating such as stairwell and corridors however not terrible. ”Fantastic location overlooking the hilltop sea views. Last minute overnight booking, with only the rear looking room available (would like to try the sea view rooms next time). Room was immaculately clean with a fan, iron (and board), hairdryer, microwave, toaster, fridge and kettle (also tea, coffee and milk, that you can have refilled if you need more). Staff were absolutely fantastic from the time we checked in to when we left. Bar and food area downstairs (also plenty of outdoor seating). I...

”Lovely place, lovely setting. Convenient for a Plymouth but quiet and picturesque, fantastic walks along the Yealm. And a great pub.”

”Lovely village, friendly and helpful staff, ample free parking. Sadly no breakfast available at the Inn but manager happy for breakfast to be brought in from the village shops. Pub bar below was quiet, the room was clean and nicely laid out, but a bit tired and could do with a lick of paint to revive it. Overall good value.”
