We suggest two experiences in Salou:



1- A pleasant stroll along Jaume I Promenade, the lively seafront of Salou. Besides enjoying the sea breeze and the popular atmosphere, you can admire the numerous modernist buildings that adorn this important Salou artery with their intricate facades. Highlights include the Voramar Chalet or Casa Bonet, the latter designed by the famous modernist architect Domènech Sugranyes i Gras, a disciple of Antoni Gaudí.



2- Visit the Salou pier. Dating from the 19th century, it was built to shelter fishermen's boats. Later remodelled, it now houses a sculpture by artist Ramon Ferran i Pagès titled Monument to the Fisherman. The walk to the pier is very pleasant, and once there, it is worth seeing how this construction divides Ponent and Llevant beaches. In fact, judging by the amount of public that approaches both, it could be said that it separates hustle from calm.
