”The bar area was ok on entering our room it was cool and could smell damp ,some staff were helpful others were quite rude especially the older lady on reception when she barged into the dining area to shout at a member of staff In front of a busy breakfast sitting very very unprofessional and embarrassing for the young lady to be spoken to like that .”

”I did not get to stay at the OVO, I booked the wrong date (my error), but having paid Expedia for insurance that would alow me to make changes to the booking, the venue wanted to charge a handling fee that was 100% of the room cost. seeing that it would have cost me the full room cost on top of whatever the actual day would cost me I decided not to cancel and to book elsewhere.”

”Room 1 is extremely small, but was spotless and the bed extremely comfortable. There were too few staff. Service at dinner and the bar was very slow. Dinner wasn't as hot as it should have been. There was too much food on a small plate, I had to hunt under the chicken for my vegetables! Overall, it's quite expensive for food that although was delicious it wasn't hot and not served in a timely manner.”

”Right on the doorstep of the Yorkshire Dales sets an idyllic location for this friendly pub/ hotel. Very friendly welcome with exceptional hospitality. The room was clean and of a good size, a very comfortable stay and the staff could not be more helpful. This property is also very pet friendly. Highly recommended ”

”Beautiful hotel, second time staying for one night, breakfast included, evening meal have to book separately which was easy to do. Everything about this hotel, location, availability of rooms, staff and food was truly amazing. We will be booking again, probably near Christmas time.”

”Great staff friendly and helpful, nice relaxing atmosphere, very nice breakfast, only two very small suggestions would be nice to have longlife milk sachets or similar in the room save having to go down stairs and ask for milk,and could do with a shelf in the shower no where to put shampoo ect when showering”

”Plentiful car parking. Attentive and polite staff. Room clean and tidy with high level of cleanliness in bathroom. Good quality selection of good quality breakfast products.”

”We didn't take up our booking because we were advised by our friends and relatives (one is a member of the local constabulary) who live locally that the hotel is filthy, poorly managed and used more as a hostel for undesirables. We were advised not to stay there, consequently we didn't even see the establishment so cannot confirm whether that is the case.”

”Room clean . Comfortable bed complimentary water . Biscuits and good selection of teas and coffee even hot chocolate. Staff amazing couldn’t be more helpful. Breakfast amazing good parking plenty of spaces. The only downside for not very tall people the bath was quite high to get in to have a shower. Overall a lovely place to stay”

”Friendly and professional staff. Wonderful evening meal (the Halloumi Flatbread was delicious). Good parking, spacious bedroom well appointed. The chilled complimentary fruit juice & water was much appreciated after a 400 mile journey! My only issue was that room 4 was right over the outside seating area and I can only imagine that during World Cup season this could prove to be a problem. As it was I did have the creaking stairs (access for all guests) and loud music blasting from the bar below...
