Enjoy the serenity of the coastal dunes at the Fairhaven Retreat!

Relax in the comfort of this spacious and open two-story home, set in the coastal dunes of Humboldt County. The Fairhaven retreat is a quick 5 minute drive to the nearest beaches and trails. Soak up the sun or cozy up in the fog at this coastal retreat. The home has two bedrooms, one on the main floor and one on the second floor with a bathroom on each floor as well. Enjoy coastal comfort with hardwood floors, a large living and dining area, and expansive backyard with views to the Samoa Dunes. The fenced backyard has a fire pit, propane grill, brand new hot tub/ outdoor shower, deck seating and large lawn.

We ask that guests enjoy their time and please be respectful of noise and the neighbors especially between quiet hours of 9pm and 7am. Parties, events, and amplified music past quiet hours will not be tolerated please reach out if you have any questions regarding the nature of your stay. We welcome you to the neighborhood!

A damage waiver, covering up to $2,000 of accidental damage to the property or its contents, is included in the cost of your reservation.

Redwood tree experience

We had a wonderful stay at Fairhaven Retreat. The property was well supplied for our needs. It has plenty of seating and was very clean. We had hoped to be able to see the ocean and couldn’t, but we’re just about 5 minutes away from beach access. You can see beautiful redwoods in Eureka or travel just about an hour north or south and see even more. Great getaway!

Lovely base for a redwood adventure!

The house was perfectly set up for our small family to stay for a few days while we explored the surrounding areas. It was wonderful having a yard for our dogs, and the ability to come back and soak in the hot tub after a long day of hiking! The home was clean and had everything we needed.

Loved the house and the area

I have stayed at several places in and around Eureka, this one is my favorite. The neighborhood is very quiet, the house is lovely upstairs bedroom suite is great for working remotely and downstairs is spacious. We loved the back yards, well fenced and our two pups had a great time. It is a bit off the beaten path but we liked that. Just about 10 min drive into Eureka,

Comfy Stay in the Dunes!

We had a great stay at the house. We had all the amenities you would expect. With such wild weather in this part of California, the hot tub saved us on a couple cold days we hit. The house is close to great walks in the channel and a short 2 minute drive to super easy beach parking. Also close to the North jetty which offers great off roading and spectacular views. This beach is very lightly attended. Also a great kite area- lotsa wind mid day. Would also recommend the Marina restaurant at Woodley Island.

Great Place to Stay

My friend and I stayed here to visit the sites in the area. Redwood trees were the main focus of my visit. It was early March when I stayed. The hot tub was great and enjoyed it every night. The sand dunes nearby are neat but I didn't do much there because it was cold and rainy. The house was perfect for the 2 of us. It could accommodate 2 more adults very easily and still have room. Neighborhood is not fancy but never had any issues or trouble with neighbors. I would stay here again.

Lovely getaway

The home was warm and cozy during the cold winter nights. The backyard was perfect for our furbabies and the jacuzzi did not disappoint. They have fully stocked anything you could have needed or may have forgot. Only wish the king bed upstairs was as comfy as the downstairs queen/full bed. Beautiful home we will definitely stay at in the future.

Girl's California Trip from Missouri

The booking process was easy. The description was accurate except the location. The house was very clean and very nice. Hot tub was excellent. Beds were very comfortable. The only complaint about the house was no ceiling fans or fans at all. We come from Missouri and used to have air circulation. Enjoyed the area, but the neighborhood wasn't what I expected.

Wonderful property

This home had everything we needed for our stay and was perfect for visiting the area during graduation time. Excellent yard for the dogs (do be aware of ticks and other critters in the area tho!!) and plenty of room to spread out. We really had such a nice stay, good communication with the owners and overall it was a really great experience. Wish we had explored somoa a little more while we were there but we did little trips into Eureka, Arcata, Trinidad. Recommend Brick and Fire for dinner in Eureka :)

Redwoods vacation

The house was really nice and clean and as advertised, and the family loved the hitting in the cool climate. It was a great home base for exploring that part of California. The host was very responsive and helpful. The neighborhood is near the ocean and beach, but is lived-in and does not feel like a tourist area, which is neither good or bad it just depends what you are looking for.
