Kaipaa ehostusta ja kunnon aamiaisen
Hotellin sijainti rauhallisella ja siistillä alueella hyvien kulkuyhteyksien varrella. Hotelli noudattaa tinkimättömästi viktoriaanista tyyliä kaikessa sisustuksessa ja se onkin tämän paikan idea. Paikat ovat todella ehostuksen tarpeessa, erityisesti kylpytilat. Suihkusta tulee lämmintä vettä vain pitkään odottamalla, eikä suihkun voimakkuutta voi säätää. Suihkuverho on rikki ja eri puolella kylpyhuonetta on kosteuden aiheuttamia vaurioita. Hotellin aamiainen EI ole mannermainen. Samaa paahtoleipää ja pullaa sekä vohvelia joka aamu. ”MANNERMAISELTA” AAMIAISELTA puuttuu jukurtit, pekonit, munakokkeli, juustot ja muut leikkeleet. Tarjolla vanhoja mauttomia vanhoja pihvejä ja kivikoviksi keitettyjä kananmunia. Aamiaishuoneen henkilöstö on tympeää, ei tervehdi eikä ota kontaktia vieraisiin. Astioita korjatessa niitä heitellään kovan metelin säestyksellä kärryihin. Viimeinen pisara on lasikulho, johon on merkitty ” For tips”. En ole ennen tällaista nähnyt, etenkään kun tippeihin ei ole mitään aihetta.

Staff was great, super friendly. Parking was easy. Rooms were very nice and spacious. Breakfast was average. No probelms whatsoever.

Do not stay here. Spent one night here in the King suite with Jacuzzi. Woke up the next morning COVERED in bed bug bites. Even emailed with pictured evidence and was still denied a refund. Also the hotel phones were “out” when we tried to contact the staff. The hotel is pretty old and apparently so is their sanitary standards.

Hotel is unique and quirky. Staff very pleasant. Situated out of the way but there are restaurants nearby and local buses that can take you all over. You need to be prepared to bus it. Breakfast was simple but nice with some hot and cold food. Loved the sherry and cookie at 4pm each day.

The hotel was very antique and every room feels like walking into a piece of history. The bed mattress was very comfortable to sleep in too. The tea time from 4-6 was good with delicious tea and cookies. The breakfast was also good but was a bit lacking in fruits. One thing that didn’t really work was the shower was very low pressure and the given shampoo was very low quality.

Let me say, we love staying at the Queen Anne. We've stayed multiple times and will stay again despite the 3 start rating. The location is perfect for us (near family, Filmore Dining and Japantown) and they have real suites, a must when traveling with a teen. And it's affordable! (Check all travel sites, their own site is not always the best price). I wish they had a points program! What is the issue? The literal pain in my back. The springs of every single sofa, chair and mattress are worn to the point of incredible discomfort. The lobby is full of seating (which makes it wonderful, it even has two fireplaces plus nooks) so that's a lot of worn springs. I've even found a nearby chiropractor because the seating is so bad I can barely stand up straight after a few days. I now bring my own lumbar pillow (there are some lumbar pillows there, they are decorative, not for support). I have never stayed in a hotel with this problem. Ever. I want to give the QA a five star rating because of the price, the Victorian "theme", the full breakfast and friendliness of staff etc, but comfort is a factor and it shouldn't come to needing to avoid most of the furniture and bringing my own lumbar pillow. I hope they can make the change and I can rate it five starts next time.

It’s a beautiful old building and all the old furnishings are beautiful as well. It is pretty run down and the room was not very well maintained.

The ornate 19th-century woodwork creates a charming atmosphere. Breakfast is better than most but hard-boiled eggs were overcooked. Staff were courteous. Overall, a good value.

I booked a queen suite with a pull out couch for 3. I was drawn to the hotel's Victorian charm and it's proximity to Japan Town. The hotel was gorgeous and the atmosphere was very welcoming. The breakfast was a nice touch too. I did have a spooky experience though. During the first night of my stay I fell asleep on my stomach and shifted around wedging my pillow between my chin and the headboard which crained my neck at a weird angle. I felt my self being shifted by my shoulders and I started to wake up a little. I got kinda mad bc I just thought it was my fiance waking me up for some unknown reason, when I got this... feeling? voice? something telling me that my neck was in an uncomfortable position. Next thing I knew I was on my back with my pillow under my head and my blankets pulled over me and I drifted back to sleep thinking nothing of it. The next night I asked my fiance about it and she told me she didn't move me or even wake up that night. I kinda went into denial mode and suggested she just was sleepy and didn't remember. After we got home, I found out this place was the most haunted hotel in SF. Apparently it was built as a boarding school for girls and it's rumored to be haunted by Mary Lake, the former headmistress who loved the school and was devastated after it closed. She's known to be a friendly spirit who takes care of guests, and even tucks them in. Her room was one floor above ours to the left. Didn't believe in ghosts until now. 10/10 life changing stay.

This property is beautiful if you appreciate the style. It’s a 3-star hotel so that’s what you get overall, what is charming about the property is that is a preserved 120 year old building and decor. The staff is super friendly, it’s walking distance to many dinning options and if you are not afraid of walking a bit extra, you can be at the fisherman’s wharf in about 40 min.

The hotel with its gilded age charm was a fun deviation from the standard chain hotel. The bed was super comfortable. I loved the lobby with all the little conversation areas including a couple in front of fireplaces. Breakfast was more than expected with many options. The happy hour cookies and sherry were a classy touch that fit the overall vibe of the hotel.

This was the best hotel stay Ive ever experienced in SFO. Then on top of that there was free breakfast and an afternoon tea service. Really good value 4 blocks from Japantown.

It's just a lovely place to stay. It's not a corporate hotel, it's quaint, quiet and cozy. Always my first choice when visiting San Francisco.
