”Wonderful staff. Excellent location with great birding opportunities right outside the door. Clean room. Pool was being renovated but we were notified beforehand and provided with a complimentary drink and snack. Would return.”

”Oh my gosh, this place is absolutely breathtaking! Sitting under the covered patio during the afternoon showers was so relaxing. We saw over 40 species of birds on the property. The property is situated so you can see all the macaws flying over the water to roost each night. We absolutely loved this spot!”

”Our hostess was very warm and welcoming, the garden surrounding the rooms was the most beautiful area, full of tropical flowering plants and many varieties of birds. The patio where breakfast was served was quaint and peaceful and the pool was a perfect bonus amenity. ”

”Highly recommend The Retreat hotel! It was gorgeous and the views breath taking. The staff was very attentive and kind. Will definitely go again. The tours were over priced though. ~400 per tour and while the locations were beautiful it was not worth that much money. Also note there is no food you can buy except for in the restaurants there. So grab some snack at the airport. But highly recommend this place. Even in the rainy season it was amazing ”

”AMAZINGLY customer service oriented. Bereníce, staff, SO attentive, kind & thorough. Prior to arrival, resort administrator engaged to make personalized arrangements. Wifi steady & stable. Jacuzzi a plus. For arrival, standard vehicle OK (albeit slow w potholes with some portions being unpaved roads), but 4x4 might be helpful. Highly recommend to get away from it all to chill. I travel a lot, and I would go back. ”

”I had an amazing stay! The place was clean, conveniently located, bedsheets were perfect, and breakfast was phenomenal. I’m so glad I stayed there and I definitely would recommend this place! ”

”Hotel owners, both husband and wife and their staff were really helpful and friendly. Property is really well maintained with diverse flowering plants and villa room we stayed in is very spacious and clean. Even though it is still the wet season, temperature was really pleasant and A/C wasn’t needed to sleep well. Very peaceful environment and walking distance to town square. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place to getaway and relax.”
