”The location has awesome views of the surrounding mountains. Breakfast was excellent every morning. The hosts are full of local knowledge. We were in the annex, and I enjoyed cooking on a professional stove. I cannot recommend highly enough. We will be back.”

”We stayed two nights in Red Baron cabin. The Cabin was otherwise ok, but worn out a little bit. The place was nice with mountains all around. Breakfast was served from 8 to 8.30. The Innkeeper prepared the breakfast herself. It was homemade and different from regular hotels. The bad thing about it was that you couldn´t decide yourself what to have for breakfast. As a whole the place was quite ok but next time I visit Durango I propably go somewhere else”

”This was my first time at the Resort and Spa, being a Colorado native, it seemed like I should check it off my list. The setting is serine, very clean, many different pools to get in with a variety of temperatures. The San Juan River is so beautiful and I love the infinity effect on most of the pools. Gorgeous spot!”

”Overall it was a really enjoyable stay at the Matterhorn. It was quiet, the rooms were clean and well appointed, and there were plenty of great restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. The only thing I think prospective visitors need to know is that while it is a resort town, it looked like there was only one bar open past 10pm. All the other shops/restaurants close around 9pm or so. Other than that, the stay was amazing and the mountain views were absolutely stunning!”

”The lodge is more like a hostel in that the bathroom and shower is down the hall from your room. However you have your own private bathroom and shower which are keyed to your room. Be careful not to leave your key in the bathroom or shower since those doors lock without using a key. Overall very clean and comfortable. There are no staff at the desk. It is managed by staff at another motel”
