”We stayed two nights in Red Baron cabin. The Cabin was otherwise ok, but worn out a little bit. The place was nice with mountains all around. Breakfast was served from 8 to 8.30. The Innkeeper prepared the breakfast herself. It was homemade and different from regular hotels. The bad thing about it was that you couldn´t decide yourself what to have for breakfast. As a whole the place was quite ok but next time I visit Durango I propably go somewhere else”

”We loved our stay here. The hotel is beautiful and clean. The front desk staff were delightful and accommodating. The bar/restaurant had good food and drinks, great atmosphere with fun, lively staff and a great pianist! Easy walking to shops, restaurants and the ‘must not it miss’ - train depot.”

”It was convenient to Durango activities, Pool was good, hot tub was broken, work out room was a joke, faucet in room was about to fall off the sink, and whoever painted this place must have been drunk and painted it with a mop or broom. Not likely to go back to this place but it was all that was left over late.”

”The General Palmer Hotel is a special historic hotel. Beautiful and comfortable in all areas. A few things that would make this hotel excellent would be in-room coffee, complimentary water bottles in room, and more or brighter lighting in the rooms. There was not a smart tv in the room but for us it was a minor issue. Beds were very comfortable and the decor matched the feel of the historic hotel. ”

”We had a really nice stay. It was great for dog owners, being on the path and next to the river. The river running by drowned out traffic noise. My only complaint was the bar/restaurant. The ambiance and staff were great, but the food was not great and overpriced. ”

”Great location, but they only gave us two towels and there was no maid service for our two night stay. There was no alarm clock. The breakfast selections were pretty weak. But again it was a great location”

”The microwave was filthy, crack below the door to the outside allowed plenty of cold air in, floor was peeling, bedding appeared used and unwashed, bathroom window dirty and full of bugs. No heat. We will never return!”

”Rooms were okay maybe upgrade on the rooms and way too small and the pool had a film on top and didn’t look 👀 right and bubbly. Over all Durango was beautiful 😍 ”

”My room was nice and near the office. The room was clean and stocked with coffee as well as microwave and fridge. That was perfect for me. The lobby had a very limited continental breakfast. I wished the windows would stay open to let in the fresh Colorado air. Oh and the water was nice and hot and good water pressure too.”

”Our staying at Durango was good. Hotel location is not ideal as there are not restaurants within a walking distance. But it is just a couple of minutes drive to historic centre of Durango where all services are available.”
