”A great place to stay on your next trip to Santo Domingo! The room was clean, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming.”

”We love the property and it is not the first time we stay… Our only problem is the parking other then this problem it is a beautiful property and we will recomended to any one looking for stay in the colonial area.”

”I’m a regular at the property. It’s become like Cheers where everybody knows my name. As a digital nomad, this location has what I need to conduct my business online: good Internet, connection, supportive staff, and enough restaurants to grab a quick bite in between assignments.”

”Excellent location for walking in the colonial zone. Beautiful historical building. It’s a sight by itself. I would not stay elsewhere. Negative: WiFi stopped working in my room. I used the next room’s WiFi as the password was easy to guess. They did not repair my WiFi despite me reporting it. There is a separate WiFi on hotel premises (not in the room) and it worked fine. I had good dinners for a very reasonable price. You could ask for house still water ( not tap) at the restaurant so that...

”Although the service at this hotel was good, the pool area was enjoyable and well maintained, and the breakfast was nice, unfortunately, the room experience was disappointing. The less expensive rooms do not have actual windows; instead, they have a glass walls facing the hallway, which was not made clear at the time of booking and felt misleading. Noise was also a major issue. Despite the rooms being marketed as soundproof, they were anything but. Music and party noise from downstairs carried...

”I LOVE THE BARCELO HOTEL! It is my home away from home! Everyone who works there is AWESOME and like family to me. I have been staying there since 2021!”

”Really lovely staff, very tranquil and beautiful gardens out back with plenty of area to sit and enjoy a drink or read a book. Very clean room, nice towels, well functioning air conditioning, nice hot water in the shower and great water pressure. Definitely not really quiet on the street outside though, in the very early morning.... so not great if you are a light sleeper or want to sleep in. Inside the hotel itself is quiet and tranquil, but you can hear noise from the street outside the room,...

”Basic no expensive hotel ,in a good condition ,close to restaurant and malecon, supportive staff,”

”So to be fair your staying in a 500 year old building, the room is small but very cool. The property is beautiful, the history is wonderful, the staff was friendly and helpful. The only improvements I think could be made is a refrigerator in the room and more than a commercial hand soap dispenser in the bathroom, provide at least some basic soap and shampoo. Overall we had a great time here and will most likely come back.”

”Melko hiljainen hotelli, josta lyhyt kävelymatka Zona Colonialin nähtävyyksille”

”The hotel was clean and beautiful. The staff were friendly but it was hard at times to get information unless you knew to ask. Besides that overall an excellent stay. Felt very safe and was a great value.”

”The room was ample and well maintained and the staff was super nice and helpful, the bar is 24h and the terrace is very enjoyable , the hotel is very well located close to many restaurants and sights”

”I had a wonderful stay at this apartment. The place is quiet, clean, and well-organized. The pool at the back is a great place to relax — it's in a covered backyard area with a canopy, perfect for unwinding. Having the whole apartment to yourself is a big plus: you can buy groceries and cook your own meals, like breakfast. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, and kind — always available whenever I needed anything. I definitely want to come back to this place and I highly recommend it to...
