”Room and food good/OK. Staff and Service VERY good. Riverside location and floating deck add touch of perfection. Uphill walk through Grosvenor Park to city centre less than 15 minutes. We’ll return on our next visit. ”

”The hotel rooms were absolutely gorgeous. Lovely beds, pillows , bath r9bes. Bathroom spotlessly clean. Plenty if tea and coffee making facilities. Easy sccess and parking. Nice to.have a beautiful restaurant on the doorstep. The staff were polite and efficient. The managers attentive. Couldnt ask for more.”

”The room was clean, well furnished and had a cozy feel. We would stay here again, however, there were some minor issues. The toilet flush ran continuously and was audible at night. The cover over the shower plughole was broken and the lead on the kettle was too short and had to be used on the floor. Also the mattress was too firm for us.”

”We had a two night stay here in May. Firstly I’d like to say that the staff were superb especially Lucy who seemed to be there every second of every day looking after us checking in, out, breakfast and dinner. Thank you so much. The rooms were clean and the beds were big snd very comfortable. Excellent location in a lovejy area with shops a 2 minute walk away and the station 5 mins away to get into central Manchester. Overall a really nice stay in a nice clean hotel.”

”Fantastisk koselig hotell/pub i en enda mer fantastisk typisk engelsk landsby. Knutsford er ett lite sted med masse flotte butikker og spisesteder i landlige erkeengelske omgivelser. Cross Key Hotel passer utmerket inn i bildet og er ett hotell/pub med sjarm og høy standard på rom, dog kan selvfølgelig noe pusses på og en Beer Garden sommerstid var flott å sitte ute på. God frokost og typisk pubmat forøvrig med meget velutstyrte rom. Kommer igjen !”

”We stayed at the Rose & Crown 19th and 20th June 2024. Nice room with tea / coffee facilities. Parking in pubs own parking area at the back of the hotel. There is a beer garden where we had fish & chips and must say it was the best fish & chips we have ever had. Next morning we had full English breakfasts with tea or coffee and plenty of toast. All on all excellent value for money.”

”A very pleasant stay! Lovely large room and the bar and restaurant was great. Comfortable bed and good shower. They even made me food after the kitchen was closed. Only negative was the mini single use plastic shower gels and shampoos. Refillable soap and shampoo dispensers would make it perfect! ”

”This is a pub with 12 rooms behind it in another building. A courtyard separates them. My room was of modest size and very clean. The staff is extremely pleasant and helpful. It has no parking lot; you have to pay in a public parking nearby. If you don’t want to move your car, there are two good pubs across the street for dinner. They offer a full English breakfast cooked individually, and you can have more or less of the individual items in it. There is no phone in the room. If you have a...

”Great hotel, bar and restaurant with friendly and welcoming staff, and excellent service throughout our stay. Room was clean, well equipped, comfortable and modern. It would have been nice to have had the heating on when we arrived but appreciate that we’d recently had a change in weather. Bar has wide selection of drinks and food is excellent. Views are fantastic on a clear day and outdoor seating is available. Would (and have) happily recommend to friends and family”

Such courteous and attentive staff. A great stay for my Dad & I whilst at the nearby motor racing. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this venue to others. ”

”What a unique and wonderful stay we had at the Golden Eagle. Rooms are above the pub (but we had no noise issues). The room and bed we comfortable, the breakfast was really good, and the conversations with the bartender, the owner, and the waitstaff were great. Nice people in a quite location just off a main road through Chester. Stay here!”
