Coastal Cutie and Beach Ready

Sanibel Siesta on the Beach, Unit 801. Views of beach, pool and lagoon! This pretty, beachy second floor unit has been updated and the beach is only 56 steps away! This spacious 2 bed/2 bath non-smoking unit features all the comforts of home plus everything Sanibel Island has to offer. The master suite has a king bed and access to a private screened lanai overlooking the pool. The guest room has twin beds but can be made into a king upon request. The large and bright living/dining room leads to a screened lanai overlooking a serene lagoon. The fully-equipped kitchen has granite counters and white appliances (ice maker in freezer). Other amenities include ceiling fans throughout, central air, 3 satellite flat-screen TVs with Direct TV, queen-size sleeper sofa, linens, and a starter pack of soaps, paper products and coffee. You will also enjoy your own private garage containing beach chairs and beach umbrella for your convenience. Beach towels are available for purchase or rent from our on-site office. Sanibel Siesta offers tennis courts down the street, heated swimming pool, WiFi, bike rentals, shuffleboard, gas grills, laundry facilities and elevators, all in a lush tropical setting with amazing sunsets! Reservation pricing is based on a party of 4. A 30.00 daily fee will apply for any 5th or 6th person Parties over 4 people, a 1-time extra linen charge of $35.00 will apply. Disappointed to not be able to see the beach. Also disappointed that beach chairs and umbrellas were advertised. The chairs were rusty and the umbrellas were both broken, and as a result blew down with every slight breeze. The garage also smelled so badly of mold that we had to leave the door up the duration of our visit duty to our allergies. Last frustration was the key situation. It has been ages since I’ve stayed somewhere that didn’t utilize a keypad for entry. Keeping up with physical keys while at the beach is no fun. Found it very frustrating on several occasions.

Coastal Cutie Review

We are long time owners at the South Seas Resort on Captiva. Due to hurricane damage, our December rental was cancelled. We booked at the Coastal Cutie hoping to salvage our holiday vacation. Sadly, we were very disappointed. Most importantly, there was nothing wrong with the rental unit. It was as described and we were pleased. However, the rental community itself was incredibly disappointing. It clearly was still in the beginning stages of repair from the hurricane(s). The unit faces a pond which STANK. We couldn't open any windows. There was no vegetation. The amenities were obselete. My husband joked that he felt like we were staying a Russian Gulag. It was grim. Our checkin was a mess. We came in after hours and picked up our information at a neighboring resort. The staff could not have been ruder. The check in information didn't include the garage passcode. We had to call after hours and waited a half hour for someone to finally respond. The wifi information on the check in sheet wasn't included. We had to call again. And when we entered the unit, there was an open bottle of wine and uneaten food on the counter. Blech. No thanks. We won't return. Definitely not worth the money we paid.

Just as listed!

My children and I stayed here and it was just as pictured! Loved the two balconies. The garage was filled with everything we needed for the beach: umbrellas, chairs, and sand toys. Just a very short walk to beach and we were set for a day on the beach but close enough to grab anything we needed from condo at any time. The pool area was nice as well. We would definitely stay again.

Perfect in every way!

This condo is the best one on the property. Believe me; I looked at them all! You don’t have to bring any beach chairs, umbrellas, or toys. There are plenty in the garage. The inside is beautifully decorated and newly remodeled with a beachy vibe. This unit is an end unit, so you get an extra balcony off the master bedroom with a nice view of the pool. Both balconies are very spacious with plenty of seating and a table on both. The ladies in the office are so friendly and helpful. I just can’t say enough good things about our stay!

Nice location but...

WiFi wasn't working when we arrived and although management tried to fix problem (poor equipment & DSL) the connection was slow, very slow or not working during our stay. They tried other fixes, but best speed all week was 8Mbps. Couldn't stream, hard to access email, etc. Wasn't a deal breaker as we were beach-combing (best beach on island for shelling when we were there) and biking (right on trail) but would be hard if you were trying to work. Kitchen well-equipped, plenty of room in condo. Mostly quiet. Upgrade internet and it would be perfect.

Great Spot on the Island

Four adults enjoyed our stay at Sanibel. The condo was very clean and plenty big for us. We enjoyed the patios and playing games in the evening. Nice complex.

Wonderful stay

We celebrated my mom’s 60th birthday with a trip to Sanibel. She loved the condo and the very short walk to the beach. The condo was as pictured and clean. The staff were very helpful and it was convenient to be able to rent towels and use the beach chairs in the garage since we traveled by plane. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again!

Absolutely wonderful stay

Such a beautiful, well kept, well appointed property. Owners thought of everything, right down to labeling the light switches, and providing a towel drying rack in the lanai. Plenty of bedding for our party of 6. Kitchen well stocked with dishes and utensils and pans. Grounds are right on the beautiful beach. Bikes, shuffle board, games all readily available. Just awesome. Can't say enough good things.

Lovely stay walking distance to the beach

We stayed for four nights and absolutely loved it. The condo was very clean, comfortable, well equipped, and had great views of a pond filled with turtles (that my kids loved) & the pool. We could easily walk to the beach and loved that umbrellas and chairs were provided. They also had sand toys for the kids! The only complaint is in the morning the pond did have an odor so taking morning coffee outside was a no-go on that balcony. That's such a tiny complaint; well worth it for the view. We hope to come again!

Wonderful getaway

We loved staying at this condo and more specifically at Sanibel Siesta on the beach. We have two small children and we overall we found the resort/condo to be well equipped and convenient- it was so nice to be able to easily walk to the beach or pool. I loved having easy access to laundry. The kitchen was well-stocked to prepare meals. It was wonderful having 2 screened-in balconies with nice views of the pool and small lagoon (there is a cormorant who spends his days just outside the room and my kids loved watching it!). It just felt like everything was thought of- having disinfectant wipes available, a drying rack on the porch for towels, laundry baskets, beach chairs/umbrellas/toys. And to top it all off, it was a super cute space! Thank you so much for a lovely getaway, I wish we could have stayed longer!!

Sanibel Siesta...The Name Says it All

Our group consisted of coworkers who are all nurses in desperate need of a "siesta" from the last few months of craziness with the current pandemic. Sanibel Siesta was the perfect spot for that relaxing time we all needed to de-stress and regroup. The condo was absolutely beautiful. The staff were all very personable and helpful. We definitely plan on returning as soon as possible.

Lovely, Clean Place on the Beach

Overall, we were very happy with our stay here. First and most importantly to me was the cleanliness of the condo and it was spotless. I was very pleasantly surprised. Also, the condo was steps away from the beach, overlooked the pool and a lake and there was not one bug to be seen in the condo. I was impressed by that. It was decorated adorably in a beach theme. The amenities were nice and well maintained. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. There were ample beach chairs and umbrellas in our garage unit. The resort was nearby to lots of shopping and restaurants which was great. The only negative was that once someone checked in above us, it was somewhat noisy. We could hear the sliding doors to their screened in decks opening and closing constantly. Perhaps some greasing of the doors/repairs could fix that? Other than that we greatly enjoyed our stay here.

Great location, well decorated, comfortable and well equipped unit

The owners and management thought of everything at Sanibel Siesta. Unit 801 is beautifully decorated with plenty of room for our family of four. It was very clean when we arrived and came with a "starter pack" of tp, paper towels, soap, dish soap, and tissues. It was good to not need a market run right away. The kitchen was well equipped with everything from a blender to coffee maker. The 2 screened balconies had great views and plenty of seating. We were able to have our morning coffee overlooking the pool or lagoon then meals later in the day. We could hang out wet beach items overnight to dry. Both bathrooms are nicely updated with nice water pressure, a big plus for a beach property. The beds were comfy and we all slept well. The garage below the unit is a big plus. Shaded parking on a hot Florida day can't be beat. Beach chairs, umbrellas, and pool toys were supplied. After renting paddle boards we were able to leave them in the garage to be picked up the next morning. We hadn't planned on using the laundry facility but ended up needing it. The laundry room is very clean, well lit, and reasonably priced. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They Even let us print out boarding passes for the flight home at the office. This was a great condo in a beautiful destination! We would stay here again and recommend it.

Fantastic!

What a great unit! Beautifully decorated and well equipped with everything we needed. The location to the beach was perfect and the complex had great amenities. We loved the pool and we had a great time riding bikes, walking the beach and shelling.
