Relax and unwind at Our Mountain Oasis! Our 3 bedroom, 3 bath, single story home is easy on your back, no need to lug suitcases up or down flights of stairs. The open floor plan provides the perfect gathering place for family and friends but when it is time for some quiet seclusion, each bedroom is located for privacy. Our home includes 2 suites on opposite sides of the house, each with it's own private, uncovered deck to enjoy your early morning coffee. In the living room, 2 sets of large sliding doors expand the living area further onto a large screened deck with ample seating for relaxing. This is the ideal spot for wine and conversation. The deck also includes a dining area to enjoy your steak fresh off the grill. The elevated deck offers soft breezes and a mountain view that feels as if you are floating in the trees. On cool evenings, lounge in front of one of the gas fireplaces located in the living room or on the deck. Our elegantly rustic home with its beautiful wood accents has a quiet, private ambiance yet you have easy access to the Sapphire Valley Masters Association amenities, local outdoor activities, and even some shopping if you so desire. Whether you are joining us for the solitude of a comfortable home away from home or looking to spend your days packed with outdoor pursuits, we know you will cherish the time you spend here and we will be proud to welcome you back time and time again.

Our family had a wonderful vacation at Our Mountain Oasis. The host responded quickly and had great communication. The house was very clean and very well stocked with anything you could need in the kitchen. The bedroom and bathrooms we’re spacious and cozy. The house is located in a beautiful area in Sapphire Valley and you can walk easily in the neighborhood. We were close to great restaurants, hiking trails, shopping, water sports and golf. After a long day out exploring it was so nice to come back and relax on the screened in porch. We sat outside and enjoyed the rain and sunshine. The cool mountain air was a plus. House is nice and roomy with lots of space to enjoy a puzzle or watch a movie. We look forward to going back again soon. Thank you for letting us enjoy your home!

As a connoisseur of rentals, this is one of the few places I would absolutely return to... great layout, fabulous porch, tasteful decor and extremely well stocked!We took all our Christmas gifts with us and enjoyed a 5-night stay with lots of hiking, playground fun, game nights, fabulous home-cooked meals, and wine. I can't say enough good things about our stay. Maybe next time, we'll go in a bit warmer clime to take advantage of the porch, even though the floor heater and fireplace made it very hospitable for morning coffee wrapped in a blanket.Dorothy, the owner, was fabulous to work with...very responsive and informative.

We enjoyed staying in this beautiful home so much! Not only is the house very nice (and so, so clean) but the view is beautiful and it feels very private. The location is perfect. When you're at the house it feels very secluded but it's also very close to so much. We went shopping in Brevard, dining in both Sapphire and Cashiers, and visited several beautiful waterfalls in the area. We loved relaxing on the screened porch with such a nice view. And the large gathering area in the house is so well thought out with separate areas for relaxing in front of the fireplace, watching TV or playing games. Dorothy was very responsive to my questions and so nice to work with. She has really put a lot of thought into making the stay at this home very relaxing and comfortable. And I loved her detailed instruction book! We hope to return for another stay soon!

We booked our stay at this beautiful home and are already wanting to go back! In wanting to plan a short getaway we also wanted to help the area of the Western NC Mountains that had recently sustained so much damage from Hurricane Helene. The home sits where the views are amazing, private and just a short drive to activities. The ability to open the double doors that separate the inside from the screened in porch creates such a relaxing atmosphere. All the rooms are well appointed and allow everyone privacy or gathering together. The owners put a lot of thought into items that would make this feel more like a home than just another vacation property. Every detail was thought out and even provide an extremely detailed guest information book. We ended up staying at the property the majority of our time because of the relaxing environment and all the extra things that are available use (games, fireplace reading, gathering, grilling, etc). From my initial contact with Dorothy she made the whole process of renting her home so easy!

This property checked the boxes for our family spring break trip: dog friendly, quiet, and 3 bedrooms with a bonus of a bathroom each. Dorothy was extremely responsive and kind. Not having to lug sheets, towels and even paper products and shampoo from PA made it so much easier. We instantly felt at home when we first arrived and the house was much more than a base for all of the activities planned, it was a place where we wanted to spend time. Fortunately, the weather was nice enough to enjoy the deck for the first 4 nights and, after a cold front came through, we spent the last 2 nights indoors by the fire. We were lucky enough to have 4 bear sightings - 2 on arrival day while enjoying dinner on the deck and during an evening walk in the neighbor's driveway and 2 down the road from the house going in and out on our last day. Since there was not a hot tub onsite, which was on our 13-year old's wish list, we headed to Sapphire Valley Resort. The cost is $5 per day (14 and over, 13 and under are free with an adult) and you can purchase for just 1 day or as many as you like. No one under 14 is allowed in the hot tub, sauna or weight room so he swam in the indoor pool instead. We also played foot golf, which was an extra fee but very fun. The location is ideal for hiking, visiting waterfalls and checking out the local eateries. We took advantage of the kitchen most of the time but really liked Slabtown Pizza. This truly was a stress-free, relaxing time and we hope to be back!

The mountain oasis had every thing we were looking for. Our top needs were met: large, cozy and comfy spaces to gather together in (inside and out on the magical deck), a well stocked kitchen for our love of cooking and 3 lovely bedrooms, each with their own private bathroom. The kitchen table was great for meals and game playing. The fireplaces and the propane space heater kept us able to sit around for hours with ambiance and warmth! Outdoors, we found many awesome hikes in the area, shopped locally in the charming area and played pickleball a few times at the recreation center we had access too. Dorothy was wonderful to work with!!! So much more I could say

This was the perfect cabin and location for our 5-night family Christmas. Dorothy was very helpful and accommodating, and the cabin was beautifully updated and well-stocked with everything needed to make for a wonderful getaway. Comfortable, relaxing, and cozy!!

Hard to limit this review. Everything was perfect. The house is even nicer than pictures and description. Everything we needed plus some was there for our use. Communication with the host was immediately answered, always helpful, and always cordial. We went to catch fall foliage and our timing was perfect. Just beginning to turn when we arrived and beautiful everywhere by the time we left. Twelve days 10/9-10/20. Sapphire valley is a great area to visit and this is the place to stay.

This home was perfect for our family! It was very spacious, well decorated and had everything we needed for our stay! We had chilly, rainy weather but had plenty to do around the house! We did puzzles, played games and watched movies the whole weekend. Dorothy was very accommodating and very quick to respond with any questions we had! This was our second time here. Our family absolutely loves this house. It is very clean, cozy and comfortable with room for everyone to relax. The back porch is my favorite. Dorothy the host is amazing and she thinks of everything and she is easily available . If you have a question, there’s a book with the answer! The neighborhood is quiet. Can’t say enough nice things!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home. It is very spacious, multiple sitting areas inside and on the porch. The screened porch is wonderful! We ate all our meals outside, played cards, read etc. The bedrooms are spaced allowing privacy, especially the second suite. The location is very convenient for hiking, shopping and restaurants. Highly recommend!

The house is as described on the website and was great for a getaway for our family of 5. We enjoyed the screened porch with a nice view and the amenities that were included - pool, lake access, track and basketball court. We had a bear visit in the front yard which was exciting! The host was responsive and friendly. Overall a very nice VRBO experience.

This property is as beautiful as it looks in the pictures. Having two master suites at opposite ends of the house was very good for my family, but the most outstanding feature about the house is the huge screened-in porch with a fireplace, grill, dining table and great lounge chairs. Dorothy is an amazingly gracious, helpful hostess and she thinks of things before you even know you need them. One of my best VRBO rentals ever.

Beautiful mountain home! Home has everything you need to enjoy a relaxing getaway. Loved the screened porch you feel like you are in a treehouse with great view of the mountain. Great location to visit all the neighboring mountain towns as well. Owner is very responsive and provides many nice touches to make your stay feel upscale!
