I deliberated giving a review as don’t want to appear picky or infer we didn’t have a nice time as that wasn’t the case, however we booked based on the continued 10 star reviews, but to us we thought more like a 7 to 8 having spent a solid month on property.Let’s be clear:Enjoyed our stay, the house was cute, safe and fun with the absolute best part being the backyard and swimming pool which was an awesome oasis.But we wouldn’t come again.Fit and finish was disappointing for the price, shabby chic - a little money spent on the fundamentals such as plates, cutlery would go a long way for short money, more annoying but not game changing.The issue for us was location, we chose as close to everything but the actual proximity to major roads where the traffic was insane (google Sarasota traffic accident locations and stats) - sirens during the day and motorbikes screaming early morning and at night. A 8 lane, 45mph artery with a stream of red light and speed cameras.Yes - Our experience was tainted by a no fault fender bender - but that just compounded the traffic issue.Personally we won’t return to Sarasota because of the traffic, this is not the fault of the house but its location had definite pros and cons.In summary - Worth the price, if that’s where the market is at. Had fun - Yes. But not for us again I’m afraid, the traffic was too much location wise, something I’d never have thought about without feet on the ground, but now I’ll be much more careful.
